The SeroPOS app
The till on iPad, Android, Windows and Mac: selling, payments, tables, kitchen and hardware. 14 topics · 135 articles
App getting started
Install SeroPOS on Windows, Mac, Android or iPad, create your business account and start the 14-day free trial with no card. The Getting Started guide in Admin then walks you through categories, taxes, products, staff, payments and your first printer, and demo data lets you practise before going live.
10 articles →Selling
The selling screens are where staff ring up orders: dine-in, takeaway, delivery or a quick retail sale, with search, barcode and camera scanning, variations, modifiers and weighed or open-price items. Orders can be held and resumed, printed as a bill before payment and handed between waiters.
19 articles →Payments
SeroPOS takes cash with change, cards on an integrated terminal, custom tenders and charges to a customer account, and lets you split a bill evenly, by percentage, by item or with mixed tenders. Discounts, tips, reward points, shipping and packaging charges, card surcharge, cash pay-outs and the cash drawer are all handled at payment.
13 articles →QSR mode
QSR Mode turns a tablet or computer into a fast counter screen with a product grid and pay buttons beside the cart. You can style and resize buttons, drag products into a fixed layout per category, enter quantity first and switch on a Delivery button.
9 articles →Restaurant
These screens run the dining room: table selection on a live floor plan you draw yourself, table status and waiter mode. Kitchen tickets are routed to the right printer by KOT mapping, the in-app kitchen display bumps orders on screen, and Kiosk Mode lets guests order and pay at a self-order screen.
10 articles →Online orders
Online and QR orders from your catalogue arrive on the till with an alert and a count in the app bar, ready to view, move to the cart and print. Delivery-platform orders, starting with Uber Eats in Canada, can be accepted, cancelled with a reason, or used to mark items out of stock.
6 articles →After the sale
After a sale you can find it in Recent Transaction, reprint or share the invoice, edit it, void or refund it, and resend any sale that did not reach the server. This is also where you open and close the register with a cash count, print the Daily Sales Report and close the card batch.
8 articles →Customers
Customers are added and edited from the Home screen search, with contact details, a customer group and an address for delivery. A simple reward points programme, set up in Admin, lets customers earn points on orders and redeem them at payment.
3 articles →App admin
Admin is the setup area inside the SeroPOS app, opened from the drawer by an Admin or Manager. From here you manage products, categories, units, taxes, variations and modifiers, users and roles with POS permissions, store details, receipt layout, types of service and payment methods.
19 articles →Hardware setup
SeroPOS works with receipt and kitchen printers over the network, Bluetooth, USB or Windows, and can find them for you with Auto-detect. It also reads USB, serial and network weighing scales, takes barcode scanners in keyboard mode, and shows a customer display in a browser, on an HDMI screen or on a second monitor.
12 articles →Card terminals
SeroPOS sends card sales straight to an integrated terminal: Global Pay Cloud, Terminal Plus on the Global Payments T650P handheld, Moneris or Gravity Payments, plus the existing direct network connection to Global Payments. Each till can have its own terminal, and the terminal menu handles card history, receipts, batch close and safe recovery when a payment stalls.
9 articles →Multi till and offline
With Server / Client Mode on the Pro plan, one Windows till holds the shop database and other tills share it over your local network, including held orders, tables and the kitchen display. Every till keeps selling when the internet drops and uploads sales once it is back, and you can force a sync or wipe a device when needed.
6 articles →Personalise
Make the app easier to work with by choosing one of 30 colour themes for each till and colouring product buttons so staff find items at a glance. Desktop and iPad users can zoom the whole app in or out, and Windows and Mac tills can go full screen.
3 articles →Account and support
Manage your SeroPOS plan, add-on users, locations and modules, and see what happens when the free trial ends. Help is built in, with a knowledgebase you can print or email, a Help panel that translates into 11 languages and Live Support chat with the team.

Back office basics
The web back office is where you manage the business from any browser: sign in, read the dashboard, set up your profile and two-step verification, and check notifications and the calendar. Business Settings gathers every setting tab in one place.
7 articles →Users and roles
Add staff to the back office, give each person a role that controls what they can see and do, and limit them to the locations they work at. Sales commission agents can be set up so commission is tracked against the sales they make.
3 articles →Contacts
Contacts holds your customers and suppliers, added one at a time or imported in bulk, with customer groups and credit limits. Each contact has a ledger showing what they owe or are owed, and you can collect or record payments against it.
7 articles →Products
Build and maintain the catalogue on the web: add, import and bulk-edit products, set up variations, modifiers, units, categories and price groups. Product labels with barcodes are printed from here.
23 articles →Purchases
Record what you buy from suppliers, receive the stock into a location and pay the supplier in full or in part. Purchase returns send goods back, and purchases in another currency use an exchange rate.
4 articles →Sales
Sales in the back office covers invoices, drafts, quotations and proforma invoices, with payments and sale returns against them. Automatic discount rules and recurring invoices save repeating the same work.
14 articles →Stock
Keep stock right across locations by moving items between stores with stock transfers. Stock adjustments record damaged, lost or expired items so the quantities and stock value stay accurate.
2 articles →Expenses

Payment accounts track where your money sits, such as cash, bank and card accounts. You can move funds between accounts, record deposits and read each account book with its running balance.
3 articles →Reports
The back office has reports on sales, profit and loss, tax, stock, payments, staff, tables and accounts. Each one has filters by date and location and can be exported.
27 articles →Settings
Settings controls how the business runs: business details, tax rates and groups, POS options, invoice layouts and schemes, receipt printers and business locations. Email and SMS settings and notification templates control the messages the system sends.
28 articles →Restaurant back office
Set up the restaurant side in the back office: tables, types of service with their charges, and table bookings. The kitchen screen, service staff orders and kitchen ticket routing are managed here too.
6 articles →Accounting
The Accounting module adds a chart of accounts, journal entries, transfers and budgets, and maps POS payments to the right accounts. Financial reports and working papers give your accountant what they need.
10 articles →CRM

11 articles →Manufacturing
Manufacturing lets you build recipes and bills of materials for the items you make. Recording a production run updates stock and cost, and the manufacturing report shows what was made and what it cost.
5 articles →Repair
The Repair module runs a repair counter with job sheets, device models, checklists and repair statuses. It prints repair invoices and device labels, and customers can check their repair on a status page.
9 articles →Hotel
The Hotel module manages room types and nightly prices, bookings with extras and coupons, and an availability calendar with blocked dates. Hotel reports and settings sit alongside, so bookings and rooms are managed in one place.
