Uber Eats POS integration

Uber Eats orders should not need their own tablet on the counter. Our direct Uber Eats integration is rolling out in Canada: you manage the delivery menu and hours from the SeroPOS back office, and new orders ring on the till for staff to accept.

What you get

Uber eats in SeroPOS

Orders ring on the till

A Food Delivery Order popup with a ring sound shows the platform, items, notes and order type, ready to view or cancel.

Menu from your POS

Push categories, items, options and modifiers to Uber Eats from the products you already sell, per location.

Import your current menu

Already on Uber Eats? Pull the live menu, preview what will be created or matched, then commit.

Opening hours per location

Set weekly hours, closed days and after-midnight trading in the back office, and they go out with the next menu push.

Out-of-stock in a tap

Mark items out of stock straight from the order popup, or switch products and modifiers off per location.

Test before going live

Build a test order and run it through the same path a real order takes, to see how it lands on the till.

Where the integration stands

We are rolling out a direct Uber Eats integration for restaurants in Canada. Direct means SeroPOS talks to Uber Eats itself, without a middleman service in between. Rollout happens location by location, because each store has to be connected and approved on the Uber Eats side before live orders flow.

If you sell on Uber Eats today and want to be part of the rollout, contact us with your store details. The back-office screens for menus, hours and stores are the same ones you will use once your location is live, so you can prepare your delivery menu now. Your menu, store links and opening hours will be ready to go the moment your store is approved.

How orders reach your staff

When a new Uber Eats order arrives, the till plays a ring and opens a Food Delivery Order popup. It shows the platform, the order details, any customer notes and the order type. Staff can press View to bring the order into the cart, Mark Out of Stock to flag items you cannot make, or Cancel Order with a reason such as Store Closed, Store Busy or Out of radius.

Accepted orders move through a simple status flow, from ordered to accepted, ready and delivered. The Food Delivery Platforms list on the till shows each order's ID, rider status, rider name, delivery type and whether it was acknowledged, and lets staff print it. The delivery bell is hidden in Retail Mode.

  • View: open the order in the cart
  • Mark Out of Stock: flag items you cannot make
  • Cancel Order: choose a reason
  • Print: send the order to the printer

Managing your delivery menu

The Food Delivery Apps section of the back office holds the menu tools. Add Catalogue pushes your categories, items, options and modifiers, from one location's menu or a master catalogue. Update Catalogue switches products and modifiers on or off for a location, which helps when the delivery menu should be shorter than the dine-in menu.

If your menu already lives on Uber Eats, Import Menu pulls it in and shows a preview first: what will be created, what will be matched to existing products, and any fields that cannot be mapped, such as allergens. You choose how tax and stock are handled, then commit. Category Timing sets time windows, so breakfast items only show in the morning.

Stores, hours and reports

Add Stores links each SeroPOS location to its Uber Eats store, so a group with several locations keeps each menu and its orders separate. Update Stores turns a store on or off per platform. Opening Hours sets weekly hours per location, with a tick for closed days and correct handling for trading past midnight.

Each time Uber Eats responds to a menu push or a store update, the response is logged. The Catalogue Report and Store Report list those logs per location, with a detail view, so you can see whether the last menu push was accepted before a busy weekend. If a push was refused, the log shows the reason, so you can fix it and push again.

What you need

Delivery platform orders are part of the Food Delivery Platforms add-on module, which is bought per location and platform. You also need an Uber Eats merchant account for each store you connect. The orders appear on SeroPOS tills on Windows, Mac, iPad, Android tablets and phones. Uber Eats charges its own fees under your merchant agreement.

Delivery orders you take yourself, by phone or at the counter, do not need this add-on. The Delivery service mode in SeroPOS records the customer and address, and in QSR layout a Delivery toggle adds a delivery charge and tip. Those orders print kitchen tickets and appear in your reports like any other sale, so you can run your own delivery alongside Uber Eats.

Frequently asked questions

Does SeroPOS integrate with Uber Eats?

Yes. A direct Uber Eats integration is rolling out in Canada. It lets you push your menu and hours from the SeroPOS back office, see new orders ring on the till, mark items out of stock and cancel with a reason. Locations are connected one at a time, so contact us to join the rollout.

Is the Uber Eats integration available in the US?

The rollout is in Canada first. The integration is the same software in any country, but we are connecting Canadian stores before anywhere else. If you run a US restaurant and want Uber Eats orders in SeroPOS, let us know so we can tell you when it reaches your area.

Can I manage my Uber Eats menu from the POS?

Yes. From Food Delivery Apps in the back office, push categories, items, options and modifiers, switch items on or off per location, set category time windows and weekly opening hours. If your menu is already on Uber Eats, import it with a preview before anything is created in SeroPOS.

Do Uber Eats orders print in the kitchen?

Each delivery order can be printed from the Food Delivery Platforms list on the till, and the till's printers handle online-order kitchen tickets as well as receipts. Set up your kitchen printer and routing in SeroPOS as you would for dine-in orders, then test with the Test Order screen.

What does the Uber Eats integration cost?

It is part of the Food Delivery Platforms add-on module, priced per location and platform, on top of your Standard or Pro plan. Uber Eats charges its own commission and fees under your merchant agreement with them. Contact us for the add-on price for your locations.
