See SeroPOS in action
A walk through SeroPOS as staff and owners use it, screen by screen: taking the order, paying, running the dining room and kitchen, and checking the numbers afterwards in the web back office.
Starting an order
The home screen greets the person signed in and puts the day's first decisions up front: search or add a customer, then choose a service mode such as Dine-in, Take Away or Delivery. Quick actions sit underneath: Resume Order, View Tables, Open Drawer, Cash Pay Out and Clear Screen. In Retail Mode the service cards become a single New Sale button.
Dine-in opens the floor plan so the server can pick a table. Take Away goes straight to the sale screen with a walk-in customer. Delivery asks for a customer with an address before it starts, so the driver never leaves without one.
The sale screen and the quick-service grid
On a tablet or computer, the classic sale screen shows categories, a product grid and the cart side by side. Search by name or SKU, or scan a barcode, and the item drops into the cart. Tap a product with sizes and the variation picker appears; tap one with modifiers and the modifier sheet follows, with prices on each option.
Counters that live on speed switch on QSR Mode. Variations become their own buttons, products can be dragged into a fixed grid, and every button can have its own colour, size and font. Cash, Debit, Credit and custom tenders sit right under the cart, so a sale can be rung and paid with two taps.
Payment, splits and tips
The payment screen shows the discount, redeemed points, tip, change due and final amount, with chips for Discount, Split, Points and Shipping. Pick a payment mode, such as cash, card, cheque, bank transfer, on-account credit or a custom method, then Pay, or Pay and Print.
Split a bill evenly, by percentage, by item or by custom amounts, and pay each part with a different tender. Card payments go to the integrated terminal, and a tip entered on the terminal comes back and prints on the receipt.
Tables, held orders and the floor plan
Table Selection shows the floor plan you designed, with each table coloured Available, Occupied or Processing and the seats and server on it. Tap a free table to start an order or a busy one to open its bill. The Floor Plan Designer on Pro lets you place round, square and rectangle tables, a bar, a cash counter, restrooms and other elements.
Held orders appear as cards with the service type, table, server and total. Filter them by Dine-in, Takeaway or Walk-in, then Edit to resume, KOT to reprint the kitchen ticket, or Delete to free the table.
Kitchen display and kitchen tickets
Turn any tablet or screen into a kitchen display with KDS Mode. Tickets arrive with a chime and are counted as On time, Attention after 8 minutes or Late after 15. Cooks tick off lines as they go and tap Serve to bump the ticket. The All Day panel totals what is left to cook, and Recall brings back tickets bumped in the last two hours.
Prefer paper? KOT Mapping routes each item to the right kitchen printer by category, product or food type, and tickets keep printing when the internet is down.
Kiosk and customer display
Kiosk Mode turns a tablet or touchscreen into a self-order station. Guests touch to start, browse the menu, choose sizes and modifiers, review the order and pay by debit or credit on the terminal. Staff exit with a manager's credentials.
A customer display shows the order, discounts, tip and total due on a second screen as items are added, then a thank-you message. Run it on a second monitor, on an HDMI or USB-C screen from an Android tablet, or in any browser on the same Wi-Fi, with your own images and videos between orders.
The day's numbers and the web back office
The Daily Sales Report in the app covers today, yesterday, this or last week or month, or any custom range: bills, gross and net sales, discounts, returns, tips, card surcharge, payments by method, orders by type, item and category sales and modifiers. Print it on the receipt printer as the end-of-day Z report.
The web back office opens on a dashboard of sales, purchases, dues and expenses with stock and expiry alerts. From there, run any of the 31 reports, manage products and stock, enter purchases, create invoices, connect QuickBooks and set up two-step verification for your team.
Frequently asked questions
Are these real SeroPOS screens?
Yes. Every image on this page is taken from the SeroPOS app or the web back office, using a demo business with a sample menu and invented customer names. What you see is what you get after you download the app. Some screens, such as the floor plan designer, are on the Pro plan or need an add-on module.
Can I try SeroPOS myself instead of watching a demo?
Yes. Download the app, sign up and you get 14 days free with no credit card and every feature open. Tap Add Demo Data in Admin, then Tools, and the app fills with a sample menu, so you can ring sales, hold orders, split bills and print kitchen tickets within a few minutes of installing it.
Can someone walk me through SeroPOS live?
Yes. Book a demo from the contact page and a member of the team will take you through the sale screen, the kitchen and the back office using a setup close to yours. Bring your questions about hardware, card processing and moving your products across, and we will answer them on the call.
