POS for pizzerias

Most pizza orders arrive by phone, come in three sizes with a dozen possible toppings, and leave in a box for pickup or delivery. SeroPOS is set up for that order: find the caller, pick the size, add toppings at the right price and send the ticket to the oven.

Pizzerias in SeroPOS

Sizes as variations

Small, Medium, Large and Party are variations of one pizza, each with its own price and its own QSR button.

Toppings priced per option

Topping modifier groups add their price to the pizza line and print on the kitchen ticket.

Delivery with an address

Delivery orders require a customer with an address, which prints on the ticket and receipt for the driver.

Delivery charge and tip

The QSR Delivery toggle adds a fixed delivery charge and a tip field to the order.

Combo deals

Bundle a large pizza, wings and a two-litre into one combo product at one price.

AI phone ordering

SeroBot voice AI, integrated with Inputly.AI, can take phone orders into your POS queue for staff to accept.

From the phone call to the oven

Start from the customer search on the home screen. A regular's name, number and address are already saved, so a delivery order begins with one tap; a new caller is added with their contact number and home address. Delivery as a service type will not start without an address, which saves the call-back when the driver cannot find the house.

Pick the pizza, tap the size, then work through the topping groups. The kitchen ticket prints with the size, every topping and any note such as well done or cut in squares. For pickup orders choose Take Away instead, and the same ticket prints without an address. Held Sales lists every open order with its service type, so the counter knows which boxes are waiting for pickup.

Sizes, toppings and specialty pies

Create one product per pizza with a Size variation group, so the Pepperoni comes in Small, Medium, Large and Party with a price for each. On the quick-service grid each size can show as its own button. Toppings are modifier groups: Meats, Veggies, Cheeses and Crust or Sauce choices, each option with its own price, and free choices such as light sauce at zero.

Specialty pizzas are simply products with their toppings in the name and recipe, while build-your-own uses the modifier groups. On the Pro plan you can write a recipe for each pizza with its dough, sauce, cheese and toppings, and SeroPOS works out the cost per pie from your purchase prices. That shows which specials earn their place on the menu.

  • Size variation group with a price per size
  • Topping groups priced per option
  • Free choices such as light sauce or well done
  • Notes printed on the kitchen ticket

Delivery charges and tips

Set the delivery charge as a packing charge on the Delivery type of service, as a fixed amount or a percentage. On the quick-service layout the Delivery toggle switches the order to delivery and adds the charge and a tip field. The customer's address prints on the kitchen ticket and the receipt so the driver can take both out the door.

SeroPOS records delivery orders, charges and tips, but it does not dispatch drivers or track them on a map. Most pizzerias with their own drivers use the printed ticket and Held Sales for that. Delivery charges and tips show as their own lines on the Daily Sales Report, which makes paying drivers out at the end of the shift simpler.

Phone, QR and Uber Eats orders

If the phone is the bottleneck on Friday night, SeroBot voice AI, integrated with Inputly.AI, can answer and take the order. You generate an API key in the back office, sync your menu, and orders arrive in the POS order queue where staff accept them before they go to the kitchen. The QR menu add-on lets customers order from their phone for pickup instead.

A direct Uber Eats integration is rolling out in Canada as part of the food delivery platforms add-on. It is designed to push your menu, bring orders into the till with a ring alert and let staff mark items out of stock or cancel with a reason. Every channel prints the same kitchen ticket.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set up pizza sizes and toppings?

Create a Size variation group with values such as Small, Medium and Large, and give each pizza a price per size. Then create modifier groups for toppings with a price per option and attach them to your pizzas. The modifier sheet opens after the size is chosen.

Can the POS charge different topping prices by pizza size?

Modifier options carry one price each, not a price per size. Pizzerias that charge more for toppings on a large can set each size up as its own product, such as Large Pizza, with its own topping group, for example Large Toppings. Try both setups during the 14-day trial and keep whichever is faster for your staff.

Does SeroPOS handle pizza delivery?

It takes delivery orders with the customer's address, adds a delivery charge and tip, and prints the address on the ticket and receipt. It does not dispatch or track drivers. Delivery charges and tips are totalled on the Daily Sales Report for the day.

Can an AI answer the phone and take pizza orders?

Yes, with SeroBot voice AI, integrated with Inputly.AI. You create an API key in the back office and sync your menu. Phone orders land in your POS order queue, and your staff accept each one before it goes to the kitchen, so nothing is cooked without a person checking it.

Can I sell a pizza, wings and pop as one deal?

Yes. Create a combo product in the back office that includes the pizza, the wings and the drink, with one selling price. It sells as one line on the till at the combo price, and the deal can be given its own button on the quick-service grid next to your pizzas.
