POS for cafés and coffee shops
A café lives or dies on the 7 to 9 a.m. line, when every second order is an oat-milk latte with an extra shot. SeroPOS puts sizes, milks and syrups one tap away so the till keeps up with the espresso machine.

Sizes as buttons
Set Small, Medium and Large as product variations. In QSR Mode each size gets its own button, so a medium latte is a single tap.
Milk and syrup modifiers
Build modifier groups for milks, syrups and extra shots, each with its own price. The sheet pops up after the drink is added.
Quick-service grid
Drag your best sellers into fixed cells, colour them by category and save the layout for every till.
Reward points for regulars
Customers earn points on each visit and redeem them at payment, with minimum order and expiry rules you set.
Pay from the cart
Cash, Debit and Credit buttons sit right under the cart in QSR Mode, so card sales go straight to the terminal.
Hold the mobile order
Park an order with HOLD while the customer finds their wallet, and serve the next person in line.
Built around the morning rush
Most café sales are small, repeated and fast. QSR Mode on a tablet or Windows PC lays your menu out as a fixed grid: espresso drinks on one row, drip and tea on another, pastries below. Variations expand into their own buttons, so Latte - S, Latte - M and Latte - L sit side by side and the barista never opens a size picker.
You can make busy buttons double height, set font size and colour per product, and choose how many columns each category gets. The layout saves to the server, so a second till or a replacement tablet loads the same grid. Turn on the button click sound if your baristas like a confirmation beep over the grinder noise.
Modifiers that match how people order coffee
Create modifier groups in the back office or in Admin on the till: Milk (whole, skim, oat, almond, soy), Syrups (vanilla, caramel, hazelnut), Extras (extra shot, decaf, extra hot). Each option carries its own price, so the oat milk upcharge adds itself to the line, prints on the receipt and lands in the right tax. Free options such as extra hot or light ice can sit in the same group at zero, so the barista sees every instruction in one place.
In QSR Mode the modifier sheet shows only when Modifier Popup is on, which suits a shop where half the orders are a plain drip coffee. Chosen modifiers appear as chips on the cart line and can be removed one at a time if the customer changes their mind. The Daily Sales Report lists modifier sales, so you can see how many oat milks you sold this week.
- Milk alternatives priced per option
- Syrups and extra shots as add-ons

Regulars, points and the customer at the counter
Reward points are set once: what a customer earns per dollar, the minimum order to earn, the minimum points to redeem and when points expire. At payment the cashier taps Points, sees the balance and redeems what the customer wants to use. Look up a regular by name or phone from the customer search before you start the order.
If you prefer names on cups over full profiles, the cart header takes a customer name on its own. A customer display on a second screen or any browser on your Wi-Fi shows the order as it is rung in, which cuts down on the 'was that a large?' conversations at the pickup end.
Pastries, beans and the closing count
Croissants, muffins and retail bags of beans live in the same catalogue as drinks. Track stock on the items you buy in, set an alert quantity, and the back office flags them on the dashboard when they run low. With the Pro plan you can write a recipe for a house syrup or a batch of cold brew and see what each serving costs you.
At close, count the drawer in Open/Close Register, then print the DSR. It shows gross and net sales, tips, discounts, payouts, payments by method and item sales, and the same report can be emailed to you every night from the back office. If you run two cafés, each location gets its own report, and the back office lets you compare them side by side by location and date range.
Frequently asked questions
Can I charge extra for oat milk or an extra shot?
Yes. Each option in a modifier group has its own price, so oat milk, almond milk or an extra shot adds its charge to the line automatically. Free options like extra hot can sit in the same group at zero. Modifier sales are listed separately in the Daily Sales Report.
Does SeroPOS work on an iPad at the coffee bar?
Yes. SeroPOS runs on iPad, Android tablets, Windows PCs and Mac, plus phones. QSR Mode with the quick-service grid needs a screen at least tablet width. On iPad you can print to network or Bluetooth receipt printers and scan barcodes with the camera.
How does the café loyalty program work?
SeroPOS uses reward points. You set how many points a dollar earns, the minimum order to earn and redeem, the most points per order and an expiry period. Points are redeemed at payment or from Adjust Order on the quick-service cart, and each customer's earned and redeemed points show on their profile.
Can I take tips on coffee orders?
Yes. Staff can type a tip at payment, or the customer can add one on a supported card terminal when its tip prompt is turned on. Terminal tips come back to the sale and print on the receipt. Tips are totalled on the Daily Sales Report for the day.
What does SeroPOS cost for a single café?
Standard is $30 a month for one location and three users, and includes the full POS, QSR layout, kitchen tickets, receipt printing and the cash drawer. Pro is $50 a month and adds recipes, CRM and the floor plan designer. Both start with a 14-day free trial, no card needed.
