Inventory that follows every sale
SeroPOS keeps a live stock count for every product at every location. Each sale takes stock off, each purchase puts it back, and the Stock Report shows what it is all worth.

Stock that keeps itself up to date
Every product with Manage Stock turned on has a quantity at each business location. When a till sells it, the quantity drops. When you record a purchase from a supplier in the back office, it rises. Sell returns, purchase returns, stock transfers and stock adjustments each move it too, and every movement is kept in the product's stock history.
Products such as services, delivery charges and made-to-order dishes can have Manage Stock turned off, so they never show a negative count. That keeps the stock list focused on goods you actually buy and sell, and it stops reports from filling up with meaningless negative quantities for items that were never counted in the first place.
The Stock Report
Products › List Products has a Stock Report tab, and Reports › Stock Report gives the full view. Filter by location, category, sub-category, brand or unit. For each product you see current stock, closing stock value at purchase price and at sale price, potential profit and profit margin. Seeing value requires the view stock value permission, so cost figures stay with managers.
The same figures feed Profit / Loss, where opening and closing stock are valued by purchase and sale price. Profit by product, category and brand all rely on these stock values, so accurate counts make every profit figure in the back office more trustworthy. Count carefully and they stay true.

Settings that shape your counts
Business Settings › Business sets the stock accounting method, FIFO or LIFO, which decides which purchase cost is used when stock sells. Business Settings › Sale has Allow overselling, for businesses that would rather ring up a sale than stop the line when the count is wrong. Purchases can update product prices from the purchase screen if you turn that on.
Optional features, including lot numbers, expiry dates, racks and sub-units, are switched on only when you need them. A cafe might use only basic stock counts, while a pharmacy turns on lots and expiry. Each business sees the fields it needs, and the rest stay hidden. Turn them on later if needed.
The tools around it
Inventory in SeroPOS is a set of connected tools. Opening stock sets the starting count. Purchases and purchase returns handle suppliers. Stock adjustments record damage, waste and recount differences. Stock transfers move goods between locations. Low stock alerts warn you before you run out, and lot and expiry tracking cover dated goods.
Reports tie it together: Stock Report, Stock Adjustment Report, Lot Report, Stock Expiry Report, Items Report and Product Purchase Report all live in the back office. Each one can be filtered by location and date, printed or exported, so you can check stock at a glance or take the figures to your accountant.
Frequently asked questions
Does SeroPOS update stock automatically when I sell?
Yes. For products with Manage Stock turned on, every sale reduces the quantity at that location, whether it is sold at the till, through online ordering or on an invoice. Purchases, returns, transfers and adjustments update stock too. Each movement is kept in history.
Can I see the value of my stock?
Yes. The Stock Report shows closing stock value at purchase price and at sale price, plus potential profit and margin, by location, category, brand or unit. Viewing stock value needs its own permission. Give it to managers who need to see cost figures.
Can I track stock at more than one location?
Yes. Stock is kept per business location. You can filter reports by location and move goods between locations with stock transfers. Each extra location is added at your plan's price. Each location keeps its own counts and alerts. Transfers keep both counts right.
What if a product isn't something I count?
Turn off Manage Stock on that product. Services, charges and made-to-order items can then be sold without a stock count, so they never show as out of stock or negative. You can turn it back on later if you start counting the product.
Does SeroPOS support FIFO?
Yes. Business Settings › Business lets you choose the stock accounting method, FIFO or LIFO, which decides which purchase cost applies when stock is sold. Pick the method when you set up the business, and talk to your accountant about which one suits your goods.
