POS for franchises
A franchise depends on every location selling the same products at the same standard. SeroPOS lets you clone the catalogue to a new site, keep each location's staff inside their own store and compare every location's sales side by side.
Franchises in SeroPOS
Clone products
Open a new location by copying the product list from an existing one.
Same menu everywhere
POS menus, modifiers and variations come from one catalogue, so every till sells the same way.
Staff limited to their store
Give each user access only to the locations they work at.
Shared rules
Discount rules, price groups, roles and receipt layouts are set once and applied where you choose.
Compare locations
Profit / Loss breaks results down by location, and every report filters by store.
Per-store receipts
Each location prints its own address and tax number, with its own invoice numbering.
Open the next location from the last one
When a new franchise location opens, add it under Business Locations and use Clone products from to copy the catalogue of an existing site. Products, prices, variations and modifiers arrive ready to sell, and the new location gets its own stock, invoice numbering, receipt layout and payment methods. The till at the new store signs in to its location and syncs the catalogue.
Because there is one catalogue, a menu change made in the back office reaches every location that sells the product. POS menus such as Breakfast, Lunch and Late Night can be mapped to categories and set as the default, so every till shows the same menu at the same time of day.
- Clone products to a new location
- One catalogue for every store
- POS menus shared across tills
- Per-store stock and numbering
Rules that apply everywhere, or only here
Roles define what a cashier, a shift lead or a store manager can do, and they are the same in every location, so a cashier in one store has the same limits as a cashier in another. Each user's location access decides where they can work. Locked actions such as refunds, voids and price changes can be approved once with a manager's password.
Discount rules can be limited to certain locations, so a regional promotion runs only where it should. A selling price group can be a location's default, which handles stores with different prices from the same catalogue. Receipt and invoice layouts are designed once and assigned per location, and each store prints its own address, tax number and footer on them.
Comparing location performance
The back office dashboard shows one location or all of them for any date range. Profit / Loss has a profit-by-location tab, and daily sales, product sales, trending products, tax, stock, payments and expense reports all filter by location. Each location's daily sales report can be emailed to its own list of recipients after closing.
The Register Report shows cash sessions by store and by user, the Sales Representative Report shows sales per staff member, and the Activity Log records who changed what in the back office. Together they answer the question every franchise owner asks: why is one store doing better than another. Because every location uses the same products and categories, the comparison is like for like.
How franchise accounts are set up
SeroPOS runs locations as part of one business account. That suits a franchisor who owns or operates the stores, or a franchisee group running several sites. Each extra location is billed at its plan price, $30 a month on Standard or $50 on Pro, and packs of three extra users are $10 a month.
If each franchisee is an independent business with its own account, each runs its own SeroPOS business, and there is no built-in rollup across separate accounts or royalty calculation. Talk to us about how you are structured before you roll out, so the setup matches how you report. Moving a location between accounts later is harder than choosing the right structure at the start.
Frequently asked questions
What does a franchise POS need?
Consistent menus and prices across locations, quick setup for new stores, staff limited to their site, and reports that compare locations. SeroPOS covers these with product cloning, one shared catalogue, location access per user and reports filtered or broken down by location.
Can I push one menu to every location?
Yes. All locations share one catalogue, so a product, price or modifier change in the back office applies wherever the product is sold. POS menus map categories to named menus and can be set as the default for every till.
Can each franchise location have its own prices?
Yes. Set a default selling price group on a location and its till uses those prices. Products can also be limited to certain locations, and discount rules can run only at the locations you choose. Price changes for a single store don't touch the others.
Can I compare sales between franchise locations?
Yes. The Profit / Loss Report has a by-location breakdown, and most reports filter by location, including daily sales, product sales, tax and stock. The dashboard shows a single location or all of them for any date range, so a quick weekly check takes a minute.
Does SeroPOS calculate franchise royalties?
No. There is no royalty or franchise-fee calculation. Owners usually take sales by location from the reports and calculate fees from those figures. Locations inside one SeroPOS business can be compared directly, while separate businesses each have their own reports.
