QR code menu in SeroPOS

One code per location

Pick a location and the QR code opens that location's menu, with only the items it sells.

Your colours and logo

Choose the colour, title and subtitle, and whether your logo sits in the code.

Download as PNG

Download the code as an image for table tents, window stickers or printed menus.

Make it from the app

Admin › Tools › Catalogue QR on the till copies the link, shares it or saves the QR.

Banners on the menu

Upload up to four banner images; the first becomes the hero at the top of the menu.

Orders reach the till

Orders placed from the menu land in the POS with a bell for staff to review.

A menu that is always up to date

A printed menu goes out of date the day a price changes. The SeroPOS QR menu does not, because it reads the same product catalogue as your tills. Guests scan the code and see your categories, products, photos and prices on their phone, including variations such as size and modifiers such as extra cheese. Location discounts show as a percentage badge on the item.

Only products sold at that location appear, so a second store with a smaller menu gets its own code and its own list. Each store can share its own link and print its own code, and guests always see what that location can actually serve, which avoids disappointed customers ordering a dish that is only made at another branch.

Generate the code in the back office

Open Catalogue QR in the back office sidebar. Choose the location, pick a colour, write a title and subtitle such as Scan to order, decide whether to show your logo, then press Generate. Download PNG gives you an image ready to print on table tents, stickers or the front window.

The same screen has a banner uploader with four slots. The first image becomes the large hero at the top of the menu, which is a good place for a seasonal special, a new dish or your opening hours. Change the banners whenever the specials change, and the menu shows the new images the next time a guest scans.

Or straight from the till

On the SeroPOS app, the owner can open Admin › Tools › Catalogue QR. Pick a location and the app shows the code with Scan to view our menu and order. Buttons let you copy the link, share it, open it to check, or save and share the QR image. That is handy for posting the link on social media or sending it to a regular by text.

A How it works button explains the flow for staff who have not used it before. Owners can make a fresh code at any time, for a new location or a new campaign, without going to a computer. The link stays the same for a location, so printed codes keep working after you update the menu.

From scan to kitchen

After browsing, the guest adds items to a cart, chooses a type of service such as dine-in or takeaway, can pick their table, and checks out as a guest or with an account. The order arrives in SeroPOS as a web order with a bell. Staff review it, move it to the cart, print it and update its status.

The QR menu and online ordering are part of the Online ordering and QR add-on module, alongside your Standard or Pro plan. That module adds the menu, the ordering page and the order queue on the till. During the 14-day free trial you can try it with every other feature, without entering a card.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a QR code menu in SeroPOS?

In the back office, open Catalogue QR, choose a location, set the colour, title, subtitle and logo option, then press Generate and Download PNG. On the app, Admin › Tools › Catalogue QR shows the same code with copy, share and save buttons.

Do I have to update the QR menu when prices change?

No. The QR menu reads your SeroPOS product catalogue, so a price, photo or product change in the back office shows on the menu without printing a new code. The QR code itself stays the same. Print it once and use it for as long as you like.

Can guests order from the QR menu, or only look?

Guests can order. They add items with variations and modifiers to a cart, choose a type of service and optionally a table, and check out. The order lands in the SeroPOS till for staff to review and accept. Nothing reaches the kitchen until a member of staff accepts it.

Can each table have its own QR code?

The code is per location, not per table. At checkout guests can pick their table from your table list, which marks it as occupied. One code on every table works for the whole room. Guests choose their table when they check out.

Is the QR menu included in Standard or Pro?

It is part of the Online ordering and QR add-on module, which sits alongside either plan. During the 14-day free trial you can try every feature without entering a card. Talk to us about adding it to your plan. It can be added later.
