POS for clothing boutiques
One dress in four sizes and three colours is twelve things to count, price and find. SeroPOS keeps them under one product, prints a tag for each and runs your end-of-season markdowns on a schedule.

Size and colour variations
Build variation templates such as Size and Colour once, and each product gets a row per option with its own SKU, price and stock.
Barcode tags
Print labels from the back office with the product name, variation and price on the sticker size your printer uses.
Scheduled markdowns
Discount rules apply a fixed or percentage markdown to a brand, a category or chosen items between two dates.
Returns and exchanges
Mark a cart line as a return to take an item back in the same sale as its replacement, or refund a past sale.
Customer profiles
Keep regulars' contact details, purchase history and reward points, and look them up by name or phone at the till.
Pick a variation fast
Tap a product and the till asks which size or colour, so the right SKU goes on the receipt.
Variations that match the rail
Apparel is a grid of options. In the back office, create variation templates such as Size (XS to XL) or Colour (Black, Navy, Sand), then build a variable product from them. Each variation gets its own SKU, barcode, purchase price, selling price and stock count, and they all sit under one product name so reports roll up by style as well as by size.
At the till, tapping the product opens Select Variation, and the cashier picks the size the customer is holding. Scanning a tag adds the exact variation without a picker. Stock by variation shows on the product's stock report and the Stock Report, so you can see that the medium has sold through while the extra-large is still on the rail.
Tags and labels from the back office
Print Labels lets you pick products and quantities, choose what prints on the tag (name, variation, price with or without tax, business name) and choose a barcode sticker setting. Set up your sticker size once in Barcode Settings, whether it is a continuous roll or a sheet, and preview before you print. Use the quantities from a purchase so every new piece gets a tag.
Barcodes can be Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A and others, and SKUs can be generated with your own prefix. Label printing runs from the back office in a browser, not from the till app, so a back-room PC with a label printer is the usual setup. Print tags as each delivery is checked in and the rail is ready to sell the same afternoon.
- Name, variation and price on the tag
- Roll or sheet sticker layouts
- Code 128, EAN-13 and UPC barcodes
- Auto SKUs with your prefix
Markdowns and promotions without the spreadsheet
End-of-season sales are where boutiques lose track of prices. Discount rules let you set a markdown once: choose products, a brand or a category, the locations, a fixed amount or percentage, and the start and end dates. The rule applies itself at the till and stops on the end date, so nobody has to change prices back on Monday morning.
Rules have a priority, so a brand discount can beat a store-wide one when both apply. You can also apply rules to selling price groups or customer groups, for example a VIP group that gets a standing percentage off. Staff discounts at the till can be capped with a maximum discount percentage on each user.
Returns, exchanges and regulars
Clothing comes back. On the till, open the cart line and turn on Return to take an item back in the same sale as its replacement, so an exchange is one receipt. For a full refund, find the sale in Recent Transactions and refund it; card refunds run through the terminal. Refund and edit-sale rights can be limited by role, and a manager's password can approve them one at a time.
Customer profiles hold name, phone, email and birthday, and their sales history shows in the back office. Reward points give regulars a reason to come back, with your own earn and redeem rules. The Customer Groups report shows sales by group, which helps when you are deciding who to invite to a preview night.
Frequently asked questions
Can SeroPOS track clothing by size and colour?
Yes. Variation templates such as Size and Colour create one row per option under a single product. Each row has its own SKU, barcode, price and stock, and the till asks for the variation when you tap the product. Scanning a tag adds the exact size and colour.
Can I print price tags for my boutique?
Yes, from the back office. Print Labels takes the products and quantities, prints name, variation and price with a barcode, and uses the sticker size you set in Barcode Settings. Label printing is done from a browser on a computer, not from the till app.
How do I run a 30% off sale on one brand?
Create a discount rule, choose the brand, set 30 percent and enter the start and end dates. It applies automatically at the till during those dates. You can limit it to certain locations and give it a priority over other discounts.
How are exchanges handled?
Add the new item, then add the returned item and switch its line to Return. The sale nets the two, so the customer pays or receives only the difference on one receipt. Whole sales can be refunded from Recent Transactions, with card refunds sent to the terminal.
Is there a loyalty program for boutique customers?
SeroPOS uses reward points. You set how much a customer spends per point, minimum orders to earn and redeem, the most points per order and when points expire. Points are redeemed at payment, and each customer's earned and redeemed points show on their profile.
