A customer display on a second screen
Multi Monitor puts the customer's order on a second screen as you ring it up, with every item, the total due and a thank-you at the end. Between sales it can play your own photos and videos.

Why customers like seeing the order
A customer who can watch their order go in catches mistakes before they reach the kitchen. They see the size they asked for, the modifier, the discount you promised and the exact total, which cuts down on disputes at the end. When payment goes through, the screen switches to a Thank You message.
SeroPOS builds this into the app as Multi Monitor, in the side drawer on tablets and desktops. There is nothing extra to buy beyond a screen. Open it, choose how the screen is connected, pick a layout and start it. The display follows the cart on that till from then on, through every sale, until you stop it.
Three ways to connect a screen
The Web Display Server is the most flexible. Press Start and the app shows a web address and QR code. Open it in any browser on the same Wi-Fi, such as a cheap tablet facing the customer or a smart TV, and it shows the display. It works over your local network, so it keeps going when the internet does not.
On Android, HDMI / USB-C Direct Display finds a screen plugged into the tablet; press Scan for Displays, then Launch. On Windows and Mac, Second Monitor lists connected monitors and opens the display in its own window or in a full-screen browser. Pick whichever suits the counter you have. Each takes a minute.
- Web Display Server: any browser on your Wi-Fi, port 8765
- HDMI / USB-C Direct Display: Android
- Second Monitor: Windows and Mac
Make it yours
Choose a layout: Split Screen shows the order beside your media, Cart Only shows just the order, Media plays your images and video, and Slideshow Only runs slides all the time. You can put the cart on the left or right and choose a dark or light theme. Each till keeps its own settings.
Upload photos and short videos of your specials, drag them into order and set each slide to show for 2 to 30 seconds. Press Apply Live to update the display without restarting it. A How to use button walks new staff through the setup. Changes apply the moment you save them.
What the customer sees
During the sale the screen shows YOUR ORDER: each item with its quantity and price, then any discount, tip, delivery charge and packaging, and the TOTAL DUE in large type. Changes in the cart, such as removing an item or applying a discount, appear right away. Customers can follow along as you ring.
Multi Monitor is available on screens 650dp wide and up, which covers tablets and desktops. It is not offered on phones. Each tablet or desktop till can run its own customer display, so a counter with two tills can have two screens, each showing the order being rung up on its own register.
Frequently asked questions
What hardware do I need for a customer display?
Any second screen will do. Use a spare tablet or smart TV with a browser on your Wi-Fi, an HDMI or USB-C display plugged into an Android tablet, or a second monitor on a Windows PC or Mac. No special pole display is required.
Does the customer display need internet?
No. The Web Display Server runs on the till and serves the screen over your local Wi-Fi, so it keeps working if your internet connection drops. Direct HDMI and second-monitor displays are local too. Only the till and the screen need to be on the same network.
Can I show ads or promotions on the customer screen?
Yes. Upload images and videos, including JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP and MP4, reorder them and set how long each one shows. Use the Media or Slideshow Only layouts, or Split Screen to show them beside the order. Change the media at any time.
Does the display show tips and delivery charges?
Yes. YOUR ORDER lists the items and then any discount, tip, delivery charge and packaging cost before the total due, so the customer sees how the total was reached. It updates as the cart changes. Nothing is hidden from the customer.
Can I use a customer display with a phone till?
No. Multi Monitor appears on screens 650dp wide and larger, which means tablets and desktops. Phone layouts do not include it. If you sell from a phone, a tablet at the counter can run the till and the display instead.
