Customer displays
Customers trust a total they can watch being built. SeroPOS mirrors the cart to a screen facing the customer, whether that is a second monitor, a screen plugged into an Android tablet, or a spare tablet running a browser on your Wi-Fi.

Your own slides
Upload images and videos to show between orders, each slide held for 2 to 30 seconds.
Totals as you ring
Items, discount, tip, delivery, packaging and the total due update live, then a thank-you screen.
Three ways to put a screen in front of the customer
All customer display options live under Multi Monitor in the side drawer, on tablets and desktops. The first is the Web Display Server. Start it and SeroPOS shows a web address and a QR code on port 8765. Open that address in any browser on the same Wi-Fi, such as an old tablet on a stand or a smart TV, and it becomes the customer screen. It runs entirely on your local network.
The second is a direct display for Android: plug a screen into the tablet over HDMI or USB-C, tap Scan for Displays, then Launch. The third is a second monitor on Windows or Mac. Refresh monitors, then choose Open Display for a native window or In Browser for a full-screen browser on that screen.

What the customer sees
During a sale the display shows YOUR ORDER: each item as it is rung in, any discount, tip, delivery charge and packaging, and the TOTAL DUE in large type. When the sale is paid it switches to a Thank You screen. Customers can check the order while it is being entered, which cuts down on mistakes and on questions at the end.
Pick a Dark or Light theme to suit the room, and put the cart on the left or right. Tap Apply Live to push changes to the screen without restarting it. The How to use button in the settings explains each option, which helps when a new manager sets up a second counter.
Slides and video between orders
The Media and Slideshow Only layouts turn the customer screen into a small sign. Upload JPG, PNG, GIF or WEBP images and MP4, MOV, AVI or WEBM video, drag them into the order you want, and set each slide to show for between 2 and 30 seconds. Use it for the daily special, a loyalty reminder or a menu board at the pickup counter.
Split Screen shows the order on one side and your slides on the other, so the display stays useful while you ring the sale. Cart Only keeps it simple: just the order and the total. You can change layouts at any time from Multi Monitor and apply the change live.
Which option to pick
If you already have a spare tablet, the Web Display Server costs nothing extra: mount the tablet facing the customer, open the address in its browser, and you are done. It needs both devices on the same Wi-Fi but does not use the internet. A wired HDMI screen on an Android tablet avoids Wi-Fi altogether and suits a fixed counter.
On a Windows all-in-one or a Mac with a second monitor, the native window is a neat choice and keeps the display running full screen. Multi Monitor appears on tablet and desktop screens only, so on a phone use one of the other options from a larger device at the counter.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use an old tablet as a customer display?
Yes. Start the Web Display Server in Multi Monitor on your till, then open the address it shows, or scan its QR code, in the browser on the spare tablet. Both need to be on the same Wi-Fi. The display runs over your local network and does not need internet.
Does SeroPOS support a second monitor on Windows?
Yes. In Multi Monitor, refresh the monitor list, then choose Open Display for a native window on the second screen or In Browser for a full-screen browser. The same option is available on Mac. Pick a layout, theme and cart position, then Apply Live.
Can I connect a screen to an Android tablet over HDMI?
Yes. Connect the screen with an HDMI or USB-C cable, open Multi Monitor, tap Scan for Displays and then Launch. The customer display opens on the connected screen while the tablet keeps the normal sale screen for staff. Choose the layout and theme in the same screen.
Can I show ads or a menu on the customer screen?
Yes. Use the Media, Slideshow Only or Split Screen layout and upload images or videos. Drag them into order and set each slide to show for 2 to 30 seconds. Split Screen shows the order on one side and your slides on the other while you ring a sale.
Does the customer display work on a phone?
Multi Monitor is available on tablet-sized and desktop screens only. If you sell from a phone, the phone layout keeps its full width for staff. Most counters that want a customer screen use a tablet, PC or Mac as the till.
