How to Show Customers Their Order on a Second Screen in SeroPOS0:56 · narrated, with captions
SeroPOS appLive
The customer display: layout, cart side and your own slideshow.

Steps

  1. Connect the monitor. Plug the second monitor in by HDMI, USB-C or DisplayPort. On Windows, set the displays to Extend (Win+P), not Duplicate.
  2. Open Multi Monitor. Open the drawer and tap Multi Monitor.
  3. Refresh monitors. Under Second Monitor (Windows / Mac), tap Refresh monitors and pick the customer-facing monitor.
  4. Open the display. Tap Open Display for a full app window on that monitor with no browser (the recommended way), or In Browser for a full-screen Edge or Chrome window. In Browser needs the Web Display Server started first.
  5. Choose the layout. Under Display Layout pick Split Screen, Cart Only or Media / Slideshow Only, and set the cart to the left or right.
  6. Add images or videos. Under Media Files, tap Add Files, drag to reorder, and set the slideshow delay. Tap Apply Live to update a running display.

Open Display or In Browser

Open Display draws the customer screen as a separate SeroPOS window on the second monitor, so there is no browser bar or tabs to hide. In Browser opens Edge or Chrome in kiosk mode, which is useful if you already run the Web Display Server for other screens.

If the till shows the same picture on both monitors, Windows is set to Duplicate. Press Win+P, choose Extend, then tap Refresh monitors again.

Frequently asked questions

Only one monitor shows in the list.

Check the cable, switch the monitor on, and on Windows press Win+P and choose Extend. Then tap Refresh monitors. On Duplicate, both screens show the same picture and there is no second monitor to send the display to.

Can I run a slideshow with no order on screen?

Yes. Choose Media / Slideshow Only under Display Layout. The monitor plays your images and videos full screen, which works as a menu or promotions board.
