Steps
- Connect the monitor. Plug the customer-facing monitor into the Android device's HDMI or USB-C video port and switch it on.
- Open Multi Monitor. Open the drawer and tap Multi Monitor.
- Scan for displays. Under HDMI / USB-C Direct Display, tap Scan for Displays. The connected monitor appears in the list.
- Set the layout. Choose Split Screen, Cart Only or Media / Slideshow Only, pick the cart side, and add images or videos under Media Files.
- Launch. Tap Launch. The customer display opens on the connected monitor and follows the cart as you sell.
Limits
Direct HDMI and USB-C output is for Android devices only, and the device must support video out on that port. On Windows or Mac use the Second Monitor option, and on any other device use the Web Display Server in a browser.
If the monitor does not appear, unplug and reconnect it and tap Scan for Displays again. Some USB-C ports charge only and do not carry video.
Frequently asked questions
Does my Android tablet support HDMI output?
It needs a port that carries video, either HDMI or a USB-C port with display output. Check the device specifications. If Scan for Displays finds nothing with the monitor connected, the port probably does not carry video; use the browser display instead.
Can I show promotions on the HDMI display?
Yes. Pick Split Screen to show the order beside your slideshow, or Media / Slideshow Only to use the monitor as a menu or promo board. Add images and videos under Media Files.
