SeroPOS app help: getting started

Install SeroPOS on Windows, Mac, Android or iPad, create your business account and start the 14-day free trial with no card. The Getting Started guide in Admin then walks you through categories, taxes, products, staff, payments and your first printer, and demo data lets you practise before going live.

Download and install the SeroPOS appSeroPOS runs on Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, Mac and Windows PCs. Install it from Google Play on Android, from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and Mac, or from the Windows download on seropos.app's Download page. A tablet or desktop of 650 points wide or more gets the full till layout with QSR Mode, Kiosk Mode and the floating action dial; a phone or a handheld card terminal gets the compact phone screens.Create your SeroPOS account in the appCreate your SeroPOS account inside the app: tap Sign Up on the Login screen, fill in Tell us about yourself, then Setup your business profile with your address, currency and timezone. SeroPOS emails a 6-digit code (and texts it if you gave a mobile number); enter it on Verify your account. The app then sets up your store and opens the plan screen, where you can carry on with your 14-day free trial.Choose a plan and start your free trialAfter sign-up, SeroPOS opens Choose Your Plan. Pick Monthly or Annual, then Standard ($30/mo) or Pro ($50/mo), and tap Start 14-Day Free Trial; nothing is charged today. If you'd rather decide later, tap Continue on my 14-day free trial and the app opens with every feature available until the trial ends. Prices are.Follow the Getting Started guide in SeroPOSThe Getting Started guide opens the first time the owner opens Admin. It walks through setting up the till in order: categories, units and taxes, variations and modifiers, products, staff, then payment methods and a printer. Step 6 is required before you can sell. Reopen the guide any time from the Getting Started button in Admin.Add demo data in the SeroPOS appAdd Demo Data fills your account with a sample menu of products and categories so you can practise ringing sales before you enter your own. Open Admin, scroll to Tools and tap Add Demo Data. The server builds the menu and the app runs a full sync, which can take up to three minutes, then returns you to the POS.Remove demo data from SeroPOSWhen you've finished practising, clear the sample menu before you go live. Open Admin, go to Tools and tap Remove Demo Data, then confirm with Remove & log out. SeroPOS deletes the demo products, cleans this device's database and logs you out; sign back in and the full sync loads a clean catalogue.Sign in and use two-step verificationSign in on the Login screen with your username (name@business) or email and your password, then tap LOG IN. If two-step verification is on for your login, SeroPOS asks for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app or one sent by text. Tick Trust this computer for 30 days on your own device so it doesn't ask again each time.Reset your SeroPOS passwordIf you've forgotten your password, tap Forgot Password? on the Login screen. Enter the email address on your account and tap Send Reset Link. SeroPOS emails you a link to set a new password; open it, choose a new one, then tap Back to Login and sign in. Staff who sign in with a name@business username can also ask the owner to reset theirs in Admin.Replay the guided tours in SeroPOSSeroPOS has short coach-mark tours that point out the main parts of a screen. The Home tour plays once per install, the first time you reach Home. To watch it again, or to play the tour for the POS screen or QSR Mode, tap the ? button on that screen. Use Next to step through and SKIP to close.Update the SeroPOS appSeroPOS checks its version when it starts. If a newer version is out, Update Available offers Update or Later. If your version is older than the minimum supported one, Update Required blocks the app until you update. Tap Update Now to open your app store, install the update, then reopen SeroPOS. On Windows, install the latest version from the Download page.
