Turning on two-step verification
Two-step verification is set up for each login in the back office. Once it's on, the app asks for the second step on any device that isn't trusted. When you first set it up, SeroPOS shows a set of recovery codes; save them somewhere safe, because they're how you get in without your phone.
Messages you might see at sign-in
Verify your email means the account's email hasn't been confirmed yet; tap Resend email. Server is Offline appears on a client till when the server till isn't running. A subscription that has ended opens the plan screen so you can resubscribe.
Frequently asked questions
What is my SeroPOS username?
Staff usernames take the form name@business, for example sam@royalfoods. The owner can also sign in with the email used at sign-up. Admin › Users & Roles shows each person's login, with a Copy button so you can hand it over.
How long does Trust this computer last?
30 days. During that time the device skips the second step for that login. After 30 days, or if you sign in on a new device, SeroPOS asks for a code again. Only tick it on a device you control.
I lost my phone with the authenticator app. How do I sign in?
On the Two-step verification screen, choose another way and enter one of the recovery codes you saved when you set it up. Each code works once. If you have no codes left, contact support through the help pages to recover the login.
