Steps
- Create a role first. Every user needs a role, so the + Add User button appears only once at least one role exists. Set roles up in Manage roles & permissions.
- Open Users & Roles. Open the drawer, tap Admin, and under Settings tap Users & Roles.
- Add the user. Tap + Add User and type the First name and, if you like, the Last name.
- Set the username. Type just the name in Username. Staff sign in as name@business; the first time you add someone, you choose the Business login handle once for everyone.
- Set a password. Enter a Password of at least 8 characters with upper and lower case, a number and a symbol. The eye icon shows what you typed.
- Pick the role and locations. Choose the Role, tick at least one location under Works at, and leave Active on. Email, Mobile number (for WhatsApp and text-message reminders) and Note are optional.
- Hand over the login. Tap Save. The card Share these sign-in details shows the login and password; tap Copy login details and give them to the staff member.
Managing staff
Tap the key icon on a user's row to reset their password, or the pencil to edit them. To stop someone signing in without losing their history, turn Active off; the row then shows Inactive. Staff sign in with exactly the login on their hand-over card; nobody signs in with their email.
User limits
Standard includes 3 users and Pro includes 5. When you reach the limit, the app offers More users, which adds 3 users for $10/mo, or an upgrade to Pro.
