SeroPOS app help: card terminals

SeroPOS sends card sales straight to an integrated terminal: Global Pay Cloud, Terminal Plus on the Global Payments T650P handheld, Moneris or Gravity Payments, plus the existing direct network connection to Global Payments. Each till can have its own terminal, and the terminal menu handles card history, receipts, batch close and safe recovery when a payment stalls.

Use the existing Global Payments network connectionFor new set-ups we suggest Global Pay Cloud, or Terminal Plus if SeroPOS runs on the T650P. This article covers the existing direct network connection. To connect a Global Payments terminal on your network, open Drawer › Settings, switch on Global Payments and tap its gear to open Global Pay Settings. Enter the terminal's IP Address, Port and ECR ID, then save. From then on, when you choose Debit or Credit at payment, the amount goes straight to the terminal and the sale is recorded when the card is approved.Run SeroPOS on the T650P with Terminal PlusWith Terminal Plus, SeroPOS runs on the Global Payments T650P handheld itself and card payments go to the Payments app on the same device. Install SeroPOS on the terminal, make sure the terminal is set to Semi-Integrated Internal mode, then in Settings › Global Payments open Global Pay Settings and turn on Terminal Plus. SeroPOS uses a compact phone layout made for the T650P screen.Set up Global Pay CloudGlobal Pay Cloud connects a Global Payments terminal through the cloud, so there is no cable or IP address to manage. Turn on Global Pay Cloud in Drawer › Settings and tap its gear. Enter the business credentials once, then on each till enter that terminal's Terminal Device Reference (Processing TID), tap Verify and bind terminal, save and run Test terminal. What to do when a card payment stallsIf a card payment hangs, is declined or the result is unclear, do not just charge again. The payment screen offers the safe next step: Cancel if the card has not been tapped yet, Tap Card Again for a safe retry, or Check on Terminal, which reads the terminal's batch to see whether the card was really charged. The order stays open until you decide.Set up a Moneris terminalTo connect a Moneris terminal, open Drawer › Settings, switch on Moneris Payments and tap its gear to open Moneris Pay Settings. Enter your Merchant ID (MID), Store ID, API token and Terminal ID from your Moneris account, keep it on the Production environment and save. Then tap SYNC so SeroPOS reads the terminal's own behaviour, such as tip prompts and cashback.Refund a Moneris card paymentTo refund a Moneris card sale, open Drawer › Recent Transaction, find the sale and choose Refund Sale, then pick the card payment to refund. SeroPOS first tries a refund linked to the original payment. If the bank refuses it, use Independent Refund — Customer Presents Card, where the customer taps the card that paid and the money goes back to it.Set up Gravity PaymentsTo connect a Gravity Payments terminal, open Drawer › Settings, switch on Gravity Payments and tap its gear to open Gravity Pay Settings. Enter the OID, Token and Device Name from your Gravity Payments account, then save. Card sales then go to the terminal, and approvals, partial approvals and card returns come back to SeroPOS automatically.Give each till its own card terminalWhen a store has more than one till, each till should charge the card terminal standing next to it. Open Drawer › Admin › Tools › Card Terminal for This Till, give the till a name such as Front Till or Bar, and enter that till's own terminal details for your processor. Tap Save for this till. Leave a processor blank, or tap Use shared, to keep the store's shared settings.Use the terminal menuEach card processor you switch on adds a card icon to the app bar. Tap it to open that terminal's menu: Card Transaction History, Print Last Card Receipt, Print Batch Summary (no close), Close Batch & Print Day-End Report and Restart Terminal App for Global Payments, with similar options for Global Pay Cloud and Moneris. It is the quickest way to check a payment or settle the day.
