Steps
- Get your Gravity details. From Gravity Payments, get your account's OID, the Token for this integration and the Device Name of the terminal. Keep the token private.
- Switch on Gravity Payments. Open the drawer, tap Settings and turn on the Gravity Payments switch.
- Open Gravity Pay Settings. Tap the gear next to Gravity Payments. The screen reads Connect your Gravity Payments card terminal.
- Enter the fields. Fill in OID, Token and Device Name. All three are required.
- Save. Tap SAVE and confirm Save the new Gravity Payments credentials for this device?.
- Run a test sale. Ring up a small sale and choose Debit or Credit. SeroPOS sends it to the terminal and checks for the result until the customer pays.
Good to know
The settings are saved per device, so each till can point at its own Gravity terminal. Card Terminal for This Till in Admin › Tools lets you set a different Device Name for a till while sharing the rest.
If a card approves only part of the amount, SeroPOS records the partial approval and leaves the balance to pay another way.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I get the OID and Token?
Gravity Payments issues them when your account is set up for an integrated POS. Contact Gravity Payments if you do not have them, and enter them exactly as given.
Can I use Gravity Payments and another terminal on the same till?
Each processor has its own switch in Settings. Turn on only the one this till uses so card sales go to the right terminal and staff are not offered the wrong one.
