Paying on a phone or in QSR Mode
On a phone the Payment screen shows Amount due, payment method chips, Amount received and Tip, with an Adjust button for discount, points, shipping and split. In QSR Mode there's no separate pay screen: the Cash, Debit and Credit buttons in the cart take payment in one tap, and card sales go straight to the terminal.
Which methods appear
The PAYMENT MODE list comes from Admin › Payment Methods, where you turn the standard methods on or off and add up to 7 custom ones such as E-Transfer. Credit in this list means charging the sale to the customer's account. Card terminals from Moneris, Global Payments and Gravity Payments are set up in Drawer › Settings.
Frequently asked questions
Why is Pay & Print asking me to enable Print Invoice?
Pay & Print uses the receipt printing setting for this device. Open Drawer › Settings and turn on Print Invoice, and make sure a default printer is set in Add/Edit Printer. Then Pay & Print prints the receipt as the sale completes.
What if the card terminal doesn't respond?
Don't charge again straight away. The payment screen offers Check on Terminal, which reads the terminal to see whether the card went through, so the customer isn't charged twice. If the outcome is unclear, check before you retry or switch method.
Can I take a card payment without an integrated terminal?
Yes. Add a custom payment method such as Card (external) in Admin › Payment Methods, run the card on your standalone machine, then record the sale with that method. It's reported separately from integrated card payments.
