Design your floor plan

Floor Plan Designer lets you draw your dining room so Table Selection looks like the real floor. Add tables, give each one a name, shape and number of seats, place elements such as the Bar Counter, Cash Counter or Entrance, then tap Save Floor Plan. The layout is saved to the server, so every till uses the same plan. Floor Plan Designer is part of the Pro plan and needs an Admin or Manager login.

Draw the floor: tables, counters and fixtures.

Steps

  1. Open the designer. Open the drawer and tap Floor Plan Designer, or tap Design Floor Plan on Table Selection. If your role isn't an Admin or Manager, enter an admin login when the app asks.
  2. Add your tables. On the Tables tab, tap Add Table or drag a table onto the canvas. Repeat for every table in the room.
  3. Set each table's properties. Double-click a table to open Table Properties. Enter the Table Name (use the number your staff already call it), pick the Table Shape (Round, Square or Rectangle), set the Number of Seats and, if needed, tick Use custom size to set Width and Height. Save the changes.
  4. Add room elements. On the Elements tab, drag in things that help staff find their way: Bar Counter, Cash Counter, Entrance, Kitchen Door, Restroom, Booth Seating, Waiting Area, Plant/Decoration and more. Custom Text (Round) and Custom Text (Square) let you label areas such as Patio.
  5. Style the floor. On the Floor tab, choose the Floor Type and set the Background Color and Pattern Color.
  6. Arrange and tidy. Select an item and use Object Controls to Move, Align or Delete it. Undo (Ctrl+Z), Redo (Ctrl+Y) and Duplicate (Ctrl+D) are in the toolbar; Duplicate is the quickest way to add identical tables.
  7. Save the plan. Tap Save Floor Plan. The layout is saved on this till and on the server, and a confirmation appears.
  8. Check it in service. Go back to Table Selection and confirm the tables appear where you expect, with the right names and seats.

Who can use it

Floor Plan Designer is a Pro plan feature. On Standard the drawer row shows a lock and Table Selection uses the grid view instead. Editing the plan also needs an Admin or Manager login, so servers can use the tables without being able to move them.

  • Not shown in Retail Mode.
  • Clear All removes every table and element from the canvas. Use it only to start again.
  • If the till has no location, the designer shows No location configured on this device.

Tips for a plan staff can read

Lay tables out the way they physically sit and name them with the numbers your team already uses, so a server can find table 12 without thinking. Add the bar, entrance and kitchen door as landmarks. Keep labels short; Custom Text works well for zones such as Patio or Window.

Frequently asked questions

Is Floor Plan Designer included in the Standard plan?

No. Floor Plan Designer is part of Pro ($50/mo). On Standard you still get tables and dine-in orders, and Table Selection shows your tables as a grid. Both plans include a 14-day free trial with everything turned on.

Do I have to draw the plan on every till?

No. Save Floor Plan stores the layout on the server, so other tills in the same location load the same plan. On a Server/Client setup the plan is shared across the tills on your network.

Can I change the plan during service?

Yes, but it is best done before or after a shift. Save the new layout, then tap Refresh Status on other tills so they pick up the change.
