SeroPOS app help: restaurant tools

These screens run the dining room: table selection on a live floor plan you draw yourself, table status and waiter mode. Kitchen tickets are routed to the right printer by KOT mapping, the in-app kitchen display bumps orders on screen, and Kiosk Mode lets guests order and pay at a self-order screen.

Use Table SelectionTable Selection is the live map of your dining room. Every table is coloured by status: green for Available, red for Occupied and amber for Processing, which means the bill has been printed and is waiting to be paid. Each table also shows its seat count and the waiter serving it. Tap a green table to start a dine-in order on it, or tap a red or amber table to load the order already running there. If you haven't drawn a floor plan, the same screen lists your tables as a grid.Design your floor planFloor Plan Designer lets you draw your dining room so Table Selection looks like the real floor. Add tables, give each one a name, shape and number of seats, place elements such as the Bar Counter, Cash Counter or Entrance, then tap Save Floor Plan. The layout is saved to the server, so every till uses the same plan. Floor Plan Designer is part of the Pro plan and needs an Admin or Manager login.Change a table statusWhen a table still shows Occupied or Processing after the guests have gone, set it back to Available from Table Selection. Long-press the table, read the Change Table Status message (Are you sure you want to change table status to Available?) and tap Continue. The table turns green straight away and can be seated again. This only changes the table's colour; any held order on it stays in Hold Orders.Print kitchen tickets (KOT)To print kitchen order tickets (KOTs), turn on Print KOT in Drawer › Settings. From then on, every time you tap HOLD the till prints a ticket for the kitchen. When you resume an order and add to it, the next ticket lists only the new or increased items, so the kitchen doesn't cook anything twice. Tickets go to the printers you set up in KOT Mapping, and they print even when the till is offline.Map kitchen tickets to printersKOT Mapping decides which kitchen printer gets which items. Each KOT is a station, such as Bar or Kitchen, with one printer and a set of categories, products or food types. When an order is held, every mapped item prints only at its station's printer, so drinks go to the bar and food goes to the kitchen. Open it from Drawer › KOT Mapping and tap ADD KOT.Turn on KDS ModeKDS Mode turns a tablet or computer in the kitchen into a Kitchen Display. On the kitchen device, open Drawer › Settings › KDS Mode and confirm with an Admin or Manager Login ID and Password. On the tills that take orders, turn on Print KOT and Print KDS so held orders are sent to the screen. New tickets arrive with a chime; cooks tap each line to tick it off and tap SERVE to bump the ticket. KDS Mode needs a paid plan.Keep the KDS fast with KDS CleanupKDS Cleanup keeps the Kitchen Display quick by clearing finished tickets. When the service is running it removes tickets marked Cooked or Deleted that are more than an hour old, about every 30 minutes. Active tickets and sales records are never touched. Open Drawer › KDS Cleanup to see whether the service is RUNNING or STOPPED, check the counts, start or stop it, or run a Manual Cleanup straight away.Turn on Kiosk ModeKiosk Mode turns a tablet or computer into a self-order kiosk. Customers tap to start, browse your menu, choose sizes and add-ons, review the order and pay by debit or credit card on your connected terminal. To switch it on, open Drawer › Settings › Kiosk Mode and enter an Admin or Manager Login ID and Password. Kiosk Mode is included in Standard and Pro.Exit Kiosk ModeTo leave Kiosk Mode, double-tap the logo on the kiosk menu screen, or the lock icon on the cart screen. Exit Kiosk Mode opens and asks for a Login ID and Password. Enter an Admin or Manager login and the device returns to the normal till, with the message Kiosk Mode disabled. The hidden gesture and login keep customers from closing the kiosk by accident.Turn on Multiple User (waiter mode)Multiple User lets several servers share one till. With it on, the till opens on SELECT WAITER, a list of your service staff with each person's open order count. A server taps their name and the order they take is recorded under them, so tables, held orders and reports show who served it. To switch it on, at least one user needs a role marked Service staff.
