Steps
- Open KDS Cleanup. Open the drawer and tap KDS Cleanup.
- Check the service status. Cleanup Service Status shows green RUNNING or red STOPPED. While it runs, Next cleanup in … minutes tells you when the next pass is due.
- Read the statistics. KDS Statistics shows Total Records, Received Orders (still cooking, never removed), Cooked Orders and Deleted Orders. A yellow banner appears when old records are ready for cleanup.
- Clean up now. Tap Manual Cleanup to clear eligible tickets immediately. The app reports how many records were removed.
- Start or stop the service. Tap Start Service to turn on the automatic schedule, or Stop Service to pause it.
- Refresh the numbers. Tap the refresh icon in the top bar to reload the statistics.
What gets removed
Only kitchen tickets that were cooked or deleted more than an hour ago. Tickets still in Received stay until the kitchen finishes them, and sales, payments and reports are not affected. Cleanup works whether the device is a Standalone, Server or Client till.
- Leave the service running for most kitchens.
- Run a Manual Cleanup if the display feels slow after a busy service.
- Staff need KDS Cleanup in the Device & Setup group of their role to open the screen.
- Not shown in Retail Mode.
Frequently asked questions
Can KDS Cleanup delete a sale?
No. It only clears finished entries from the kitchen display's ticket list. Sales, payments and reports are kept as they are.
Why is my kitchen display getting slow?
Cooked and deleted tickets build up over a day. Open KDS Cleanup, check the service says RUNNING, and run a Manual Cleanup to clear the backlog straight away.
