Add restaurant tables in the SeroPOS back office

Add every table in your restaurant so staff can pick it when they start a dine-in order. Open Tables in the back office sidebar (/modules/tables), click Add, choose the Business Location, enter the Table name, a Short Description, the No. of Seating and the Booking Duration (mins), and click Save. The Tables module must be on in Business Settings › Modules.

Steps

  1. Turn on Tables if you don't see it. If Tables isn't in the sidebar, open Settings › Setting, click Modules, tick Tables and click Update Settings.
  2. Open Tables. Click Tables in the back office sidebar. The list shows All restaurant tables with their location and description.
  3. Click Add. Click Add to open Add table.
  4. Pick the location. Choose the Business Location the table belongs to.
  5. Name the table. Enter a Table name staff will recognise, such as T1, Patio 3 or Bar 2, and an optional Short Description such as window.
  6. Enter seats and booking length. Enter No. of Seating, for example 4, and Booking Duration (mins), for example 90, the usual length of a booking at that table.
  7. Save. Click Save. Repeat for each table, then check they show on the POS for that location.

Tables in the app

Tables you add here are the ones staff pick when they start a dine-in order in the SeroPOS app. On the Pro plan, the app's floor plan designer lets you lay them out to match your room and see each table's status at a glance.

Give each location its own tables. A table belongs to one location only.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add tables in SeroPOS?

Open Tables in the back office sidebar and click Add. Pick the location, type a table name such as T1, and enter the number of seats and booking length. Click Save. If Tables is missing from the sidebar, tick it under Business Settings › Modules first.

Can I see sales by table?

Yes. The table report under Reports shows sales by table and location for a date range. It helps you spot which sections of the room earn the most.
