Back office basics: dashboard, sign-in and settings

The web back office is where you manage the business from any browser: sign in, read the dashboard, set up your profile and two-step verification, and check notifications and the calendar. Business Settings gathers every setting tab in one place.

Read the back office dashboardThe Dashboard is the first page you see after signing in to the back office (/home). Pick a location and a date range at the top, and the Business Synopsis tiles show Total Sales, Total purchase, Total Tax, Invoice due, Purchase due and Expense for that period. Below them, Business Analysis charts the last 30 days and the current financial year, and four tables list sales and purchase payments due within 7 days, products under their alert quantity and stock that is about to expire.Sign in to the SeroPOS back officeYou can reach the back office two ways. In the SeroPOS app, open Admin and tap the Back Office tile: it opens the web back office already signed in, through a secure one-time link. In any browser, go to the web back office at seropos.app/home and enter your username or email and your password, then click Login. If you have forgotten the password, use Forgot Your Password? to get a reset link by email.Edit your profile in the back officeMy Profile is where each user updates their own details. Click your name at the top right of the back office and choose Profile, or go to /user/profile. Under Edit Profile you can change your prefix, first and last name, email, language and profile photo, then click Update. Under Change Password you enter your current password and the new one twice.Turn on two-step verificationTwo-step verification asks for a second proof after your password, so a stolen password alone can't get into your back office. Open the Security page at /security (the Security button in the user menu, where your account shows it) and add a passkey, an authenticator app or text-message codes. Save the recovery codes it gives you, and use Where you are signed in to sign out devices you don't recognise.See your back office notificationsBack office notifications sit under the bell icon in the header. A number on the bell shows how many you haven't read. Click the bell to see the latest ones, click a notification to open it, and use Load More to page back through older ones. They tell you about things the system did on its own, such as a recurring invoice or recurring expense being generated, or an accounting sync that needs attention.Use the back office calendarThe back office calendar shows dated events in one place. Open it from the green + button in the header and choose Calendar. Filter by location, and admins can also pick a user. Tick the event types you want, such as Bookings, or Follow ups if you use CRM, and switch between month, week, day and list views. Click an event to open the record it belongs to.Business Settings overviewBusiness Settings holds the options that apply to your whole business. Open Settings › Setting in the sidebar, or go to /business/settings. The tabs run down the left: Details, Demo data, Tax, Product, Contact, Sale, POS, Purchases, Dashboard, System, Prefixes, Email Settings, SMS Settings, Reward Point, Modules, Custom Labels and Stripe Setting. Type in Search Settings to jump to any option, then click Update Settings to save.
