Steps
- Open the sign-in page. In a browser, go to seropos.app/home. From the app's login screen you can also tap Open Back Office, which opens the same page in your browser.
- Enter your username or email. Type your username or the email on your user account in the username / email field. Staff set up with a business handle sign in as name@handle.
- Enter your password. Type your password. Tick Remember Me on your own computer to stay signed in; leave it unticked on a shared one.
- Click Login. Click Login. Users with the View Home data permission land on the Dashboard; others land on the Download SeroPOS page.
- Confirm it is you, if asked. If two-step verification is on, choose your passkey, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, get a code by text, or use a recovery code.
- Open it from the app instead. In the SeroPOS app, go to Admin and tap Back Office. It signs you in with a one-time link. On Windows it opens inside the app; on other devices it opens in your browser.
- Reset a forgotten password. Click Forgot Your Password?, enter your E-Mail Address and click Send Password Reset Link. Follow the link in the email to choose a new password.
If sign-in fails
Check that the user is ticked Is active ? and Allow login under User Management › Users. A user without Allow login sees Login not allowed, and an inactive user sees that the account is inactive. Users added only as sales staff without a login cannot sign in at all.
- Wrong password: use Forgot Your Password?
- Login not allowed: an admin ticks Allow login on the user
- Account inactive: an admin ticks Is active ? on the user
Back office or app
The back office holds the full settings, purchases, contacts and reports. The SeroPOS app is the till. After you change products or settings in the back office, run Sync Database on the till so it picks up the changes. The in-app Back Office view on Windows needs WebView2; if it won't load, use your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is the back office login the same as my SeroPOS app login?
Yes. Both use the same user account, so the username or email and password you use on the till also work on the web sign-in page, as long as the user has Allow login ticked.
Why does Back Office in the app not ask for my password?
The app opens the back office through a secure one-time link tied to the user already signed in to the till. The link works once, so if you need the back office on another computer, sign in there with your username and password.
I don't get the password reset email. What should I check?
Look in your spam folder and make sure you typed the email saved on your user account. If your user was set up with a username only and no email, ask an admin to add your email under User Management › Users, or to set a new password for you.
