SeroPOS app help: multiple tills and offline

With Server / Client Mode on the Pro plan, one Windows till holds the shop database and other tills share it over your local network, including held orders, tables and the kitchen display. Every till keeps selling when the internet drops and uploads sales once it is back, and you can force a sync or wipe a device when needed.

How Server / Client Mode worksServer / Client Mode lets several tills share one shop database over your local network. One Windows PC runs as the Server and holds the data; every other till, on any platform, connects to it as a Client. Sales from client tills are stored on the server, and the floor plan, held orders and kitchen display are shared. Set it in Drawer › Admin › Tools › Server / Client Mode, which opens Database Settings. It is a Pro plan feature.Set up the server tillTo make a Windows PC the main till, open Drawer › Admin › Tools › Server / Client Mode, choose Server in Database Settings and tap Save Settings. The server starts and shows the address and access token that other tills need. A setup window stays open for 24 hours so new tills can join; tap Lock Down Now once they have.Connect a client tillTo join a tablet or second till to your server, open Drawer › Admin › Tools › Server / Client Mode, choose Client and fill in Server IP Address or URL, Port (19091 unless the server uses another) and the Access token shown on the server till. Tap Test Connection, then Save Settings. The till then reads and writes the shared shop database.Keep selling when you are offlineWhen the internet drops, keep selling. SeroPOS saves each sale on the device, kitchen tickets keep printing to your local printers, and the online/offline indicator in the app bar shows the connection state. Sales upload by themselves every few seconds once the connection is back, and a sale that cannot upload is kept on the till, never thrown away.Sync the databaseSeroPOS keeps each till up to date on its own, checking for catalogue changes every 10 minutes and for customers more often. If you have just changed prices, products, customers or printers and need them on the till now, open the drawer and tap Sync DataBase. The till pulls the latest data from the server straight away.Clear this deviceClear DB wipes all the SeroPOS data stored on this device and signs you out. Use it before you hand a till to someone else, move it to another business, or set it up again from scratch. Open the drawer, tap Clear DB and confirm Clear & Log out. Data on the server is not affected, so your sales, products and customers stay in your account.
