Steps
- Open repair settings. In the back office sidebar, click Repair, then Settings.
- Add your devices. On the Devices tab, add each kind of electronic device you repair, such as Mobile, Tablet or Laptop.
- Open Device Models. Switch to the Device Models tab and click Add Device Model.
- Name the model. Enter the Model Name and choose its Brand and Device.
- Write the checklist. In Repair Checklist, enter the checks separated by a pipe, for example Screen | Camera | Charging port | Speaker.
- Save and test. Save, then start a new job sheet and pick the model. Its checklist appears under Pre Repair Checklist.
Good checklists
List the things a customer might later say you broke: screen, buttons, cameras, speakers, charging, water damage indicators. Checking them in front of the customer, and printing the result on the job sheet, protects you both.
Brands come from the Brands list in the repair module, so add the brands you work on first.
Good to know
Products can also be linked to a device model, and the product list has a device model filter, which helps when you stock parts by model. Repair is an add-on module. The Repair item shows in the back office sidebar when your subscription includes it and your role has the repair or job sheet permissions.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add several checklist items at once?
Type them in the Repair Checklist field separated by the pipe character, for example Item 1 | Item 2 | Item 3. Each becomes its own line on the job sheet.
Do I need a model for every phone I repair?
No, but models you see often are worth adding so their checklist loads automatically. For one-offs, pick the closest device and note details in the job sheet.
Where do brands come from?
From the brands list. Add them under Brands in the repair module's top bar before you add device models.
