Steps
- Tap PAY. Tap PAY in the cart.
- Tap the Shipping chip. Tap Shipping. Shipping & Packaging opens.
- Enter the shipping cost. Type the amount in Shipping Cost.
- Enter the packaging cost. Type any amount in Packaging Cost.
- Add the charges. Tap Add Charges. The total updates.
- Take payment. Choose the method and tap Pay or Pay & Print.
Automatic charges by service type
If every takeaway or delivery order carries the same charge, set it once in Admin › Types of Service as a packing or service charge, either a fixed amount or a percentage of the order. SeroPOS then adds it without anyone typing it. In QSR Mode, the Delivery toggle adds the delivery charge from Types of Service.
Delivery charges are reported in the Delivery Charges card of the Daily Sales Report.
Frequently asked questions
Is tax charged on shipping?
The shipping and packaging charges are added to the order total. How tax is worked out on them follows your business tax settings. Check a test receipt to confirm it matches what you need to charge in your province or state.
Can I add shipping on a phone?
Yes. On the phone Payment screen, tap Adjust and choose Shipping to open the same Shipping & Packaging sheet. Enter the Shipping Cost and Packaging Cost, tap Add Charges, and the Amount due updates before you take payment.
