Steps
- Set up the menus. In the back office, create two or more POS menus and choose the categories and products in each.
- Sync the till. Open the drawer and tap Sync DataBase so the till downloads the menus.
- Find the pills. On the POS screen, the menu pills appear in the app bar.
- Tap a menu. Tap a pill to switch the grid to that menu.
- Switch back. Tap the other pill when the service changes.
Good to know
A menu only changes which products are shown on the grid. Prices, taxes and reports stay with the products. Items already in the cart stay when you switch, so you can sell from two menus on one order.
With only one POS menu, no pills appear and the grid shows everything.
Frequently asked questions
I made a second menu but there are no pills.
The till hasn't picked it up yet. Open the drawer and tap Sync DataBase, then reopen the POS screen. Pills only show when there are at least two POS menus for the location.
Can a product be on more than one menu?
Yes. Add the product to each menu it belongs on in the back office. For example, coffee can sit on both Breakfast and Lunch. Its price, tax and sales history stay the same whichever menu it's sold from.
