Steps
- Set up categories first. Make sure your products are in categories, because menus are built from categories.
- Open POS Menus. In the sidebar, open Products and click Multiple Menus. All POS Menus lists Name, Mapped Categories and Default.
- Add a menu. Click Add Menu and type a Menu Name, such as Breakfast.
- Map categories. Under Map Categories to this Menu, tick each category that should appear in this menu, then click Save Menu.
- Set the default. Click Set as Default on the menu the till should show first.
- Sync and switch. Run Sync Database on the till. On the selling screen, staff switch between menus as the day changes.
Ideas
A category can sit in more than one menu, so Drinks can appear in every menu. Use a Catering menu for large orders, or a Delivery menu with only the items that travel well.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have a breakfast menu and a dinner menu?
Yes. Create a menu for each in Products › Multiple Menus and map the right categories to each. Set the one you open with as default, and switch menus on the SeroPOS selling screen when service changes.
Do POS menus change prices?
No. Menus only control which categories show on the till. To charge different prices, use selling price groups, for example linked to a type of service.
