Where categories show up
Categories become the category buttons in the SeroPOS app, map to POS menus, route items to kitchen printers, and appear in filters and reports such as Sales by Category in the Daily Sales Report and Profit by categories.
Turn them on
Categories and sub-categories can be switched on or off with Enable Categories and Enable Sub-Categories in Settings › Setting › Product.
Frequently asked questions
How many category levels can I have?
Two: a category and its sub-categories. For example, Drinks with Hot Drinks and Cold Drinks below it. Products are assigned a category and, optionally, a sub-category.
Do categories set up here appear in the app?
Yes. After a Sync Database on the till, categories appear as the category buttons on the selling screen, unless you ticked Hide in pos.
