Bookings from other channels
If you also take bookings by phone through another system or through a booking website, block those dates here as External booking. That keeps your SeroPOS calendar and dashboard honest, so staff don't sell the same room twice.
Bookings are entered by your staff in the back office; there is no public online booking page for guests.
Good to know
Use Edit Unavailable to shorten or extend a block, or delete it to free the room again. Hotel (room booking) is an add-on module. The HMS item shows in the back office sidebar when your subscription includes it and your role has the hotel permissions.
Frequently asked questions
How do I close a room for maintenance?
Add an entry in HMS › Unavailable with that room, the dates of the work and the type Unavailable. The room can't be booked for those dates.
Can I block several rooms at once?
Yes. Select all the rooms affected when you add the unavailable entry, for example a whole floor during renovation.
Does blocking a room cancel existing bookings?
No. Check HMS › Calendar for bookings in that range first and move or cancel them yourself before blocking the room.
