  2. Open Add/Edit Printer. In SeroPOS, open the drawer, tap Add/Edit Printer, then tap Add printer.
  3. Choose Bluetooth Printer. In How does this printer connect?, pick Bluetooth Printer (Wireless printer paired over Bluetooth) and tap Continue.
  4. Select the device. Tap Scan if needed and choose your printer from Available Devices. Its Bluetooth address fills in for you.
  5. Name it and set the paper. Enter a Printer Name, keep Print Format on ESC-POS for most thermal printers, and pick 58 mm or 80 mm to match the roll.
  6. Test and save. Tap Test Printer, check the slip, then tap Save Printer. Tap the star on its card if it should be the default receipt printer.

Tips for Bluetooth printing

Bluetooth has a short range and only one device can usually hold the connection at a time. Keep the printer close to the till that uses it and avoid pairing the same printer with several phones. For a busy kitchen or a printer shared by several tills, a network printer is more reliable.

Bluetooth printers work on Android and iPhone or iPad. If prints stop after the printer sleeps, wake it and send a test from Edit to reconnect.

Frequently asked questions

My printer is not in Available Devices.

Pair it in the device's own Bluetooth settings first; SeroPOS lists printers the device already knows. Also check it is not connected to another phone or tablet, then tap Scan again. Some printers need a long press on the power or feed button to become discoverable.

Can a Bluetooth printer print kitchen tickets?

Yes. Once saved, it can be chosen in KOT Mapping like any other printer. It only prints when the device it is paired with is in range, so for a kitchen that several tills send to, a network printer is the better choice.
