Steps
- Open Admin. Open the drawer and tap Admin. If your role has admin access it opens straight away; otherwise the app asks for an Admin or Manager login.
- Find your section. Catalog holds what you sell, Settings holds staff and store details, and Tools holds the Back Office link, Catalogue QR, HRM & Payroll, Server / Client Mode, Card Terminal for This Till, demo data and Excel import.
- Open a tile. Tap any tile to open that screen. On a phone the tiles are shown as icons, three to a row.
- Read the locks. A plan lock opens an Upgrade to Pro sheet. A role lock opens Approval Required, where someone with access can approve that one action.
- Replay the setup guide. Tap Getting Started at the top to walk through the first-run guide again: categories, units and taxes, variations and modifiers, products, staff, then payments and printer.
- Leave Admin. Go back when you're done. Leaving Admin runs a background sync so the till picks up your changes.
Set up in order
For a new store, work through the Catalog tiles in this order: Units and Taxes, then Categories, then Variation and Modifier Groups, then Products. Each step needs the one before it; a product can't be saved without a category, a unit and a tax. Then add staff in Users & Roles and check Payment Methods and Printer Setup.
Good to know
Most Admin changes are saved online and reach your other tills after their next database sync. If a list looks empty, run Sync Database from the drawer. The subtitle reads Set up your catalog, staff and restaurant settings, or store settings in Retail Mode, where restaurant tiles such as Types of Service are hidden.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't my staff open Admin?
Admin opens only for roles with admin access. Others see the Admin Access login and need an Admin or Manager to sign in, or you can grant individual sections in the role's POS Access under Admin Sections.
What does the lock on a tile mean?
Either the feature isn't in your plan, which opens Upgrade to Pro, or your role doesn't include it, which opens Approval Required for a one-time approval.
