Steps
- Finish the day's card sales. Close the batch after the last card payment, and before you print your end-of-day report.
- Check the totals first. Tap the card icon in the app bar and choose Print Batch Summary to print the batch totals without closing it.
- Close from the terminal menu. In the same menu, choose Close Batch & Print Day-End Report.
- Or close from Settings. Open Drawer › Settings and tap Close Batch beside the Global Payments switch.
- Confirm. Confirm the prompt. The terminal settles its current batch.
- Keep the report. The day-end report prints on the default POS printer, which helps when the terminal's own printer is turned off. File it with the DSR.
Which terminals this covers
Close Batch is part of the Global Payments integration, including Terminal Plus when SeroPOS runs on the terminal itself. With Global Pay Cloud, the terminal menu offers Batch Summary and Close Batch. The terminal menu also has Card Transaction History, Print Last Card Receipt and Restart Terminal App.
- Global Payments must be switched on in Settings first.
- Printing needs a default printer.
- Close the batch once per day, at the end of trading.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Print Batch Summary and Close Batch?
Print Batch Summary prints the current totals and leaves the batch open. Close Batch settles the batch with the processor and prints the day-end report. Use the summary to check, and close once at the end of the day.
Do I close the batch on every till?
Close it for each terminal. When each till has its own terminal, set up through Card Terminal for This Till, close the batch from each till for the terminal beside it.
