Steps
- Open the DSR. Open the drawer and tap DSR(Daily Sale Report). The till needs to be online.
- Pick the period. Tap Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month or Last Month.
- Or set a custom range. Tap Custom, set the From and To date and time, and tap Apply. Clear resets it.
- Read the totals. The cards show Bills, APC (average per bill), Gross Sales, Net Sales, Discounts, Returns, Payouts, Tips, Card Surcharge, Delivery Charges, Rounding, Payments Collected and Net Collection.
- Check the breakdowns. Scroll for Sales Summary, Reconciliation, payments by method, Orders by Type (Dine-in, Take Away, Delivery), Item Sales, Category, Product Tax, Add-ons (Modifiers) and Payout.
- Print the Z report. Tap PRINT. The report prints on the default printer; if none is set, the app tells you.
When a day starts and ends
The Today and Yesterday presets use the store's timezone and closing time from Edit Restaurant to decide where one business day ends. If late-night sales land on the wrong day, check those settings. Edit Restaurant is also where you set who receives the daily sales report by email and at what time.
Good to know
There is no separate X report. Running the DSR doesn't close or reset anything, so you can print Today at any point in a shift for a mid-day check, and again at close as your Z report.
- Staff need Daily Sales Report in the Sales & Transactions group.
- Needs internet.
- More detailed reports are in the web back office.
Frequently asked questions
How do I print an X report?
Open the DSR, choose Today and tap PRINT. Viewing or printing the DSR doesn't close the day, so a mid-shift print works as an X report and the end-of-day print as your Z report.
Can the daily report be emailed to me?
Yes. In Admin › Edit Restaurant, add addresses under Emails to send report and pick the Time to send report. The end-of-day sales report is emailed at that time.
Why are some sales on the wrong day?
Check the timezone and closing time in Admin › Edit Restaurant. The DSR presets use them to decide where each business day starts and ends.
