Held orders across the business: search, filter by service type, then edit, reprint the KOT or delete.

Steps

  1. Open Held Sales. Tap Resume Order (or Held Sales) in Quick Actions, or Resume on the floating dial.
  2. Find the order. Type in Search by invoice, customer, or table..., or use the All, Dine-in, Takeaway and Walk-in filters.
  3. Check the card. Each card shows the service, items, table, waiter and total, with a Paid chip if it's been paid.
  4. Tap Edit to resume. Tap Edit to load the order into the cart. Add items, hold again or take payment.
  5. Reprint the kitchen ticket. Tap KOT to send the ticket to the kitchen printer again.
  6. Delete if cancelled. Tap Delete and confirm Are you sure you want to delete the order? to remove it. Its table is freed.

Orders the kitchen has started

Once the kitchen has started an order, SeroPOS stops it being changed and shows Can't Update, Order is in Process. This protects the kitchen from changes they won't see. Check with the kitchen, then make the change once the order is free.

Dine-in shortcut

For a table, it's often quicker to tap the table on Table Selection, which loads its held order straight into the cart.

Frequently asked questions

I can't find a held order in Held Sales.

Clear the search and set the filter to All. On a client till, check the server till is running, since held orders are shared through it. If the order was paid, it moves out of Held Sales and into Recent Transaction.

Does deleting a held order void anything?

Deleting removes the held order and frees the table. Nothing was paid, so no refund is needed. If items were already cooked, tell the kitchen, and use Delete only for orders that really were cancelled.
