Steps
- Open Shipments. In the sidebar, open Sell and click Shipments. You need shipping access (all, own or commission agent shipments).
- Filter. Set Business Location, Customer, Date Range, User, Payment Status, Shipping Status or Service staff.
- Read the list. Columns show Date, Invoice No., Customer name, Contact Number, Location, Shipping Status, any shipping custom fields, Payment status and Service staff.
- Edit the shipping. Open the row's Action menu and choose Edit Shipping. Update Shipping Details, Shipping Address, Shipping Status, Delivered To, any custom fields and Shipping Documents, then click Update.
- Move it along. Change Shipping Status through Ordered, Packed, Shipped and Delivered as the order progresses, or Cancelled if it won't go.
- Print paperwork. From the same Action menu, print the invoice or a Packing Slip, or download them as PDFs.
Shipping fields
Shipping details are first entered on the sale in Create Invoice. Delivered To records who signed for the goods, and Shipping Documents holds files such as a waybill or proof of delivery. You can add up to five shipping custom fields, such as a tracking number or carrier, by naming them in Settings > Custom Labels; they then show on the edit form and as columns here.
Frequently asked questions
Can staff see only their own shipments?
Yes. Roles can be given access to all shipments, only their own, or only shipments for sales where they are the commission agent. Set it under User Management > Roles in the shipping permissions.
How do I add a tracking number to a shipment?
Name one of the shipping custom fields Tracking number in Settings > Custom Labels. It then appears in Edit Shipping and as a column on the Shipments list.
