Steps
- Open the screen. Signed in to the back office, go to /reports/product-stock-details on your back-office address. There is no menu item for it.
- Find the product. Type in Search Product (name, SKU or scan the barcode) and pick it.
- Pick the location. Choose the Business Location to check, then click Search.
- Read the movements. Opening Stock, Total purchase, Total Purchase Return, Total Stock Adjustment, Total stock transfered to the location, Total Sold, Total Sell Return, Total stock transfered from the location, Total Manufactured and Total Used For Production.
- Compare the two totals. Correct Stock is the stock calculated from those movements. Incorrect Stock is the quantity currently recorded as available. Only rows where they differ are listed.
- Fix it. Click Fix on the row to set the available stock to the calculated figure for that location.
When to use it
Use it when the Stock Report shows a quantity that doesn't make sense, for example after an interrupted sync or an edited purchase. If the screen lists nothing, the recorded stock already matches the movements.
Fix changes the stock to match the history; it doesn't change any sale or purchase. If the history itself is wrong, such as a missing purchase, record that first, then come back.
Frequently asked questions
Why is a product not listed after I search?
Only products whose calculated and available stock differ are shown. If your product doesn't appear, its stock already matches its movements at that location. Check the location filter if you expected a mismatch.
Is it safe to click Fix?
Fix sets available stock to the figure worked out from all recorded movements, which is usually right. If a purchase or sale is missing from the history, the calculated figure will be wrong too, so record the missing transaction first.
