Steps
- Open the report. In the sidebar, open Reports and click Product Sell Report.
- Choose products. Type in Search Product (name, SKU or barcode) for one item, or leave it empty. Pick a Category or a Food Type (Veg, Non Veg, Egg) to narrow it.
- Filter by customer and location. Choose a Customer and a Business Location if you need them.
- Set dates and hours. Set the Date Range, then the Time range start and end to look at, say, lunch hours only across those days.
- Read the Detailed tab. Product, SKU, Customer name, Contact ID, Invoice No., Date, Quantity, Unit Price, Discount, Tax, Price inc. tax and Total.
- Use the other tabs. Detailed (With purchase) adds Purchase ref no., Lot Number and Supplier Name. Grouped shows each product once with Current stock and Total unit sold.
- Export. Use the buttons above the table: CSV or Excel downloads the rows you can see, Print opens a print view, Columns hides or shows columns, and PDF saves the table (offered in most back-office languages).
Using the time range
The Time range filter applies to every day in the date range. Set 11:00 to 14:00 across a month and the Grouped tab tells you what sells at lunch. Run it again for evenings to plan prep, staffing or a happy-hour menu.
Food Type uses the food type set on each product, so it is mainly useful for restaurants that mark items veg or non-veg.
Export and print
Every table on this report has the same toolbar: CSV, Excel, Print, Columns and, in most back-office languages, PDF. The exports take the columns that are visible, so hide anything you don't need with Columns first. The totals row at the bottom of the table is included in the export.
Frequently asked questions
How do I see total units sold per product?
Open the Grouped tab. Each product appears once with the total units sold in the period and its current stock. Sort by Total unit sold to rank them, and export to CSV or Excel.
Can I see which lot a sold item came from?
Yes. The Detailed (With purchase) tab shows the purchase reference, lot number and supplier for each sale line, as long as lot numbers were recorded on the purchase.
