Steps
- Open the report. In the sidebar, open Reports and click Product Purchase Report.
- Find a product. Type in Search Product (product name, SKU, or scan the barcode) to see one product, or leave it empty for all.
- Filter. Choose a Supplier and a Business Location, then set the Date Range.
- Read each line. Product, SKU, Supplier, Reference No, Date, Quantity, Total Unit Adjusted, Unit Purchase Price and Subtotal.
- Compare prices. Sort by Date to see how a supplier's unit price changed over time.
- Export. Use the buttons above the table: CSV or Excel downloads the rows you can see, Print opens a print view, Columns hides or shows columns, and PDF saves the table (offered in most back-office languages).
Price history from your own purchases
Because each line keeps the unit price you paid, this report doubles as a supplier price history. Filter one product and one supplier over a year to check price rises before you reorder, or compare suppliers for the same item.
Export and print
Every table on this report has the same toolbar: CSV, Excel, Print, Columns and, in most back-office languages, PDF. The exports take the columns that are visible, so hide anything you don't need with Columns first. The totals row at the bottom of the table is included in the export.
Frequently asked questions
What does Total Unit Adjusted mean on a purchase line?
It is the quantity from that purchase line that was later taken out through a stock adjustment, for example damaged or expired units. It helps you see how much of a delivery was lost.
Does this include purchase returns?
The report lists purchase lines. Returns to suppliers are recorded separately under Purchases > List Purchase Return and show on the Purchase & Sale Report.
