Steps
- Turn on Quantity First. In QSR Settings, under Quantity Entry, turn on Quantity First and tap Save Settings.
- Find the QTY button. The top pay row now reads Cash, Debit, Credit, QTY. The bottom row reads More, Delivery, Split, Print.
- Tap QTY. Tap the red QTY button. The keypad slides up.
- Type the quantity. Type the number, for example 6. There's no Save button; the button shows QTY 6.
- Tap the product. Tap the product. It's added with quantity 6, and QTY clears for the next item.
- Hold from the dial. To hold an order, open the floating dial and tap Hold.
What changes with Quantity First
The per-product Ask quantity option is hidden, since every product can take a quantity first. More opens any extra payment methods you've set up. The quantity never carries over to the next product, so you won't ring six of the wrong item by accident.
With Delivery on, tapping Delivery in this layout opens the keypad for the tip: type the amount, then the down arrow to apply it.
Frequently asked questions
Where did the Hold button go?
In the Quantity First layout the QTY button takes Hold's place in the pay rows. Hold is still there on the floating dial at the side of the screen. Tap the dial, then Hold.
Can I change the quantity after adding an item?
Yes. Tap the Qty on the cart line to open the keypad, type the new quantity and confirm. Swipe a line left to remove it.
