Style QSR product buttons

Make your best-sellers easy to spot on the QSR grid. Long-press any product button to open Button Style. Pick a colour (or paste a hex code), set Font Colour to Auto, White or Black, change the Font Size, turn on Bold text, make it a Double-height button that spans two rows, and tick Ask quantity to open the keypad when it's tapped. Tap Save.

Long-press a product for Button Style: any colour, font colour and size, bold and double height, previewed live.

Steps

  1. Long-press the product. On the QSR grid, press and hold the product button. Button Style opens.
  2. Choose a colour. Tap a colour square, drag the hue, or type a Hex value.
  3. Set the font colour. Under Font Colour, pick Auto, White or Black so the name stays readable.
  4. Set the size and weight. Use Font Size to make the text bigger or smaller, and turn on Bold text.
  5. Make it double height. Turn on Double-height button for a button that spans 2 grid rows.
  6. Turn on Ask quantity. Tick Ask quantity to open the quantity keypad each time the button is tapped.
  7. Save. Tap Save.

Styling a category

Long-press a category button for the same colour and font options, plus settings for the products inside it: Group order (low or high price group first), Grid Layout with Columns and Rows per section, Enable drag, and a Sort # for its place in the panel. Columns at 0 uses the global setting; Rows at 0 shows all.

Good to know

Ask quantity is hidden when Quantity First is on in QSR Settings, because every product then takes the quantity first. Outside QSR Mode, a long-press opens a simpler Button Color picker.

Frequently asked questions

Do button colours show on every till?

Button styles are saved with your layout, so the counter looks the same each time you open it. Check a second till after a sync; if it differs, set the style there too.

How do I make a button stand out more without colours?

Use Double-height button for your top sellers so they're twice as tall, and turn on Bold text. Bigger buttons are easier to hit in a rush and staff learn where they are quickly.
