Steps
- Open Modifiers. In the sidebar, open Products and click Modifiers. The list shows Modifier Sets, their modifiers and linked products.
- Add a set. Click Add and type the Modifier Set name, such as Milk Options or Extra Toppings.
- Add each modifier. In each row, enter the modifier name and its Price. Use 0 for free choices. Add a Food Type and image if you like.
- Link a stock product. Use Mapped Product to link a modifier to one of your existing products, if it matches one.
- Save the set. Click Save. The set appears in the list.
- Link it to products. Click Manage Products on the set, search for each product that offers these choices and add it, then save.
- Sync the till. Run Sync Database on the SeroPOS app so the new modifiers appear on orders.
Turn modifiers on
Modifiers need the Modifiers module ticked in Settings › Setting › Modules. It's on by default for new businesses. Users need View product or Add product to see the menu.
Reporting
Modifier sales show in the Daily Sales Report under Sales by Modifier, so you can see how often each add-on is chosen and what it earns.
Frequently asked questions
How do I charge extra for a topping?
Add the topping to a modifier set with its price, such as Extra cheese at 1.50, and link the set to your pizzas with Manage Products. At the till, choosing the topping adds 1.50 to that line.
Can one modifier set be used on many products?
Yes. Open Manage Products on the set and add every product that offers those choices. Change a price in the set once and it applies to all linked products.
