When to use a Windows printer
Use this option when a printer has a Windows driver but is not reachable as a network printer, for example a USB receipt printer on a Windows PC. Printing goes through the Windows print queue, so paper size and cutting can also be affected by the driver's own settings.
If the printer is on your network, adding it as a Network Printer with its IP address is usually faster and lets other tills share it.
