Steps
- Open Follow ups. In the back office sidebar, click CRM, then Follow ups.
- Start an advance follow-up. Click Add advance follow up.
- Choose who to follow up. Under Follow up by, pick customers by transaction activity, for example Has no transactions in 60 days, or choose Select invoices and pick the invoices whose buyers you want to contact.
- Fill in the follow-up. Enter the Title, Follow Up Type, start and end times, description and assigned users, as for a single follow-up.
- Set a reminder. Tick Send Notification if the assigned staff should be reminded before each follow-up starts.
- Create them. Save. SeroPOS warns that multiple follow-ups will be created, then adds one per matching customer.
Ideas
Win back lapsed regulars: customers with no transactions in 60 or 90 days. Check in after a big sale: select last week's large invoices. Thank first-time buyers: select the invoices from a launch day.
Good to know
If no customer matches, SeroPOS tells you there is no customer to add a follow-up for. To send a message rather than schedule staff tasks, use CRM › Campaigns. CRM is part of the Pro plan. The CRM item shows in the back office sidebar when your subscription includes it and your role has the CRM permissions.
Frequently asked questions
How do I follow up customers who haven't bought recently?
Use Add advance follow up and choose customers who have no transactions in the number of days you enter. SeroPOS creates one follow-up for each matching customer.
Can I assign the follow-ups to different staff?
All follow-ups created in one batch share the assigned users you pick. To split the work, run the advance follow-up more than once with different filters or users, or edit individual follow-ups afterwards.
Is this the same as a campaign?
No. Advance follow-ups create tasks for your staff, such as a call per customer. A campaign sends an email or SMS straight to the customers.
