What you get

Sporting goods stores in SeroPOS

Sizes and colours

Variation templates give each size and colour its own SKU, barcode, price and stock.

Serial numbers on bikes

Record the frame or serial number of a bike, ski or device on the sale line.

Stock transfers

Move gear between stores with a transfer that records quantities, charges and status.

Warranties on invoices

Attach a manufacturer or store warranty and it prints on the invoice with its expiry.

Team and club pricing

Price groups and customer groups give teams, schools and clubs their own prices.

Seasonal markdowns

Discount rules clear last season's stock by brand or category between two dates.

Apparel and footwear in every size

Jerseys, cleats, helmets and gloves come in sizes and colours. Build variation templates for them once, then create each item as a variable product with a row per option, each with its own SKU, barcode, cost, price and stock. You can combine size and colour in one value, such as Red / M, when a style comes in both, and drag variations into the order customers expect.

At the till, tapping a product asks for the variation, while scanning the tag adds the exact one. The Product Sell Report shows units sold by variation, so you can see which sizes sell first and order a better size run next season. Labels with name, size and price print from the back office on your sticker size.

Bikes, skis and serial numbers

For bikes, e-bikes, skis, snowboards, GPS watches and other high-value items, turn on serial tracking on the product. The frame or serial number is recorded on the sale line and prints on the invoice, so a stolen bike report or a warranty claim starts with the right number. Warranties with a name, description and duration print on the invoice with the date they expire.

The Items Report follows each item from purchase to sale, showing the supplier and cost against the customer and selling price. If you service what you sell, the Repair add-on module gives job sheets for tune-ups and repairs, with statuses the customer can check on a public page. Parts and accessories used in the shop come off stock like any sale.

  • Serial or frame number on the sale
  • Warranty expiry on the invoice
  • Items Report from purchase to sale
  • Repair job sheets as an add-on

The right stock at the right store

Ski gear sells in the mountain store, paddleboards at the lake. Each location keeps its own stock, and the Stock Report filters by location, category and brand so you can see where gear is sitting. A stock transfer moves products between locations with a date, reference, quantities, an optional shipping charge and a status, and stock moves when it is marked Completed.

Users can be limited to their own location, and each location has its own receipts, invoice layout and payment methods. For seasonal changeovers, POS menus let a store switch the till to the season's lines, and discount rules clear last season's stock by brand or category on the dates you set.

Teams, schools and clubs

Team orders are a big part of the year for many sporting goods stores. Selling price groups hold a team price for each product, and customer groups can use that group or a percentage off the selling price, so a club's account gets its prices automatically. Quotations give the coach a PDF and an online link to accept.

Convert the accepted quote into an invoice, take a deposit as a partial payment and collect the rest on delivery or on pay terms. Receive Payment and the customer ledger keep track of what the club owes, and the ledger can be emailed to the treasurer. Shipping details on the invoice cover orders you deliver to the field or the school.

Frequently asked questions

Can SeroPOS track bikes by serial number?

Yes. Turn on serial tracking for the product and the frame or serial number is recorded on the sale line. It can print on the invoice, and the Items Report links each unit from the purchase to the customer who bought it, which helps with theft reports and warranty claims.

Can I handle sizes and colours for sportswear?

Yes. Variation templates create a row for each size and colour under one product, each with its own SKU, barcode, price and stock. Scanning a tag adds the exact variation, and sales reports show units by variation so you can plan size runs.

Can I move stock between my sporting goods stores?

Yes. A stock transfer moves products between locations with quantities, an optional shipping charge and a status. When it is Completed, stock leaves one store and arrives at the other. Transfers can be printed and can't be edited after completion.

Can teams get special pricing?

Yes. Create a selling price group with team prices, then link it to a customer group for clubs and schools. Their prices apply automatically when the customer is on the sale. Quotations, deposits and pay terms cover larger team orders.

Does SeroPOS handle bike repairs?

With the Repair add-on module, yes. Job sheets record the customer, the bike's brand, model and serial, the problem, its condition, an estimate and a promised date. Statuses can text the customer, and customers can look up the repair on a public status page.
