Different prices for wholesale, VIP and more
Selling price groups give one product several prices: retail for walk-ins, wholesale for trade buyers, a member price for VIPs. Set each group's price per product, or manage the whole list in a spreadsheet.

More than one price for the same product
A wholesale buyer and a walk-in customer should not pay the same for a case of water. A delivery menu often costs a little more than dine-in. Selling price groups handle both. Each group is a named price list, and every product can have a price in each group alongside its normal selling price.
Create groups in the back office under Products › Selling Price Group. Groups can be deactivated when not in use, such as a seasonal trade price. Each group gets its own column of prices, and the normal selling price stays in place for everyone who is not in a group, so walk-in customers are never affected.
Setting group prices
For a few products, set group prices on the product itself. After saving a product, Save & add selling-price-group prices goes straight to the group prices screen, and the product list has an action to view or add them later. Variable products get a price per variation in each group.
For a full price list, export the group's prices to a spreadsheet, update them, and import the file back. Blank prices in the file are skipped, so you can update only the rows you change. This is the quickest way to update a large trade price list after a supplier increase.

How a group price is chosen
Price groups come into play in several ways. A business location can have a default selling price group, so a wholesale outlet sells at trade prices without anyone choosing. A customer group can point at a price group, so selecting a trade customer at the till applies their prices. A type of service, such as Delivery, can use its own price group per location.
On the web Create Invoice screen, staff can also pick the price group for the sale directly. That suits one-off deals, such as a wholesale order from a customer who usually pays retail, without changing their customer record or the location's default group. It is set per sale. Defaults stay unchanged.
Control and the wider system
Roles have a permission for each selling price group, so you decide which staff can sell at wholesale prices. Automatic discount rules can be set to apply, or not, within selling price groups, which stops a trade price and a promotion stacking by accident. Both settings give you control. Set both once.
Price groups also reach other channels. The online ordering page shows price-group prices on product detail, and the WooCommerce integration on the Pro plan can push a chosen price group's prices to your web store. That keeps prices consistent between the counter, your web store and your trade customers. One update reaches all.
Frequently asked questions
What is a selling price group?
A selling price group is a named price list, such as Wholesale or VIP. Each product can have its own price in each group, in addition to its normal selling price. The group price applies when a sale uses that group.
Can I update group prices from a spreadsheet?
Yes. On the Selling Price Group screen, export a group's prices to a spreadsheet, edit them and import the file back. Rows with blank prices are skipped, so only the prices you fill in change. This suits large price lists.
How do customers get wholesale prices automatically?
Create a customer group with the price calculation type set to your wholesale selling price group, and put trade customers in that group. When staff select one of those customers, their group's prices apply. No one has to change the price by hand.
Can a store use wholesale prices by default?
Yes. Each business location can have a default selling price group. Sales at that location use the group's prices unless staff choose otherwise. That suits a wholesale outlet or a trade counter, where most customers should pay the trade price.
Can I stop staff selling at wholesale prices?
Yes. Roles include a permission for each selling price group. Only staff whose role has the permission for a group can sell at its prices. That stops trade prices being used by mistake for walk-in customers at the counter. Set it per role.
