POS for ice cream and dessert shops
An ice cream counter is all choices: cup or cone, one scoop or two, which flavours, which toppings, and a queue of families deciding out loud. SeroPOS keeps those choices quick to ring and shows them on a screen facing the customer, so the order is right before the scoop goes in.

Scoops and servings
Single, double, cup, cone and waffle cone are variations with their own price and their own button.
Toppings that charge
Sprinkles, hot fudge and extra whipped cream are modifier options, each with its own price.
Customer-facing display
A second screen shows each item, topping and total as you ring it, then a thank-you.
Frozen yogurt by weight
Weigh self-serve cups on a connected scale, or type the weight, and price them per unit.
Promote on the display
Between orders, the customer display can play your photos and videos of sundaes and specials.
iPad, Android or Windows
Run the counter on the tablet or PC you already own, with a network or Bluetooth receipt printer.
Cups, cones and scoops
Set up the way you actually sell. A Kids, Single and Double scoop can be variations of one product with a price for each, and the serving vessel can be a modifier group with cup, sugar cone and waffle cone at their own prices. Flavours can be a free modifier group so the order shows exactly what went in the cup without changing the price.
On a tablet or PC, the quick-service grid puts every size on its own button, coloured however you like: pastel buttons for scoops, darker ones for shakes and sundaes. Make the best sellers double height and set the column count per category. On phones the regular product grid works the same way, with a size picker after the tap.
Toppings and add-ons
Create modifier groups for Toppings, Sauces and Extras. Each option carries its own price, so hot fudge or a second sauce adds its charge to the line, and free choices such as a cherry sit at zero. The modifier sheet opens after the item is added, or only when you want it in QSR Mode by switching Modifier Popup on or off.
Every topping prints on the receipt and shows as a removable chip on the cart line, so a change of heart costs one tap. The Daily Sales Report lists modifier sales, which tells you whether the new cookie crumble is pulling its weight, and the Trending Products report ranks flavours and sundaes by location and date range.
A screen the customer can see
Multi Monitor turns a second screen into a customer display. On Windows or Mac use a second monitor; on Android, an HDMI or USB-C screen; or open the built-in web display in any browser on your Wi-Fi, such as an old tablet on the counter. The display shows Your Order with each item, topping, discount and total due, then Thank You when the sale is paid.
Between orders, choose a Media or Slideshow layout and load photos or short videos of your sundaes, cakes and seasonal flavours, each shown for 2 to 30 seconds. The split-screen layout keeps the order on one side and your promotions on the other. No internet is needed for the web display, only your local Wi-Fi.
Self-serve, cakes and the slow season
Self-serve frozen yogurt is priced by weight. Turn on Enable Weight for the product, connect a USB or serial scale on Windows, Mac or Android, and the weight comes straight into the cart. Without a scale, the keypad asks for the weight. Decimal quantities are supported, so a 0.42 kg cup is charged exactly.
Ice cream cakes ordered ahead can be rung with a customer and a deposit taken as a partial payment, with the balance collected at pickup. Plans are monthly, and the Subscription screen on the till lets the owner upgrade, downgrade or cancel. The back office keeps your sales history, so next spring's ordering starts from real numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Can I charge for each ice cream topping?
Yes. Each topping is an option in a modifier group with its own price. Paid toppings add their charge to the line, free ones sit at zero, and every topping prints on the receipt. The Daily Sales Report totals modifier sales so you can see which toppings sell.
Does SeroPOS support a customer display?
Yes. Multi Monitor on a tablet or PC till can drive a second monitor on Windows or Mac, an HDMI or USB-C screen on Android, or a web display that any browser on your Wi-Fi can open. It shows the order and total live and can play your photos and videos between orders.
Can I sell frozen yogurt by weight?
Yes. Enable weight on the product and connect a scale over USB, serial or the network on Windows, Mac or Android. The weight is read into the cart automatically. On iPad, or without a scale, staff type the weight on a keypad instead.
Is SeroPOS a good fit for a seasonal ice cream shop?
Plans are billed monthly: Standard is $30 a month and Pro $50. The owner can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the Subscription screen, and sales history stays in the back office from one season to the next. Start with a 14-day free trial, no card needed.
Which tablets and printers work in a dessert shop?
SeroPOS runs on iPad, Android tablets, Windows PCs and Mac, plus phones. It prints to network, Bluetooth and USB receipt printers using ESC/POS, on 58 mm or 80 mm paper, and opens a cash drawer connected to the receipt printer.
