Steps
- Open the agent list. In the sidebar, open User Management and click Sales Commission Agents, then click Add.
- Enter the agent. Fill in Prefix, First Name, Last Name, Email, Contact No. and Address.
- Set the commission. Enter the Sales Commission Percentage (%) this agent earns, for example 5, and click Save.
- Choose the agent mode. Open Settings › Setting › Sale. Under Sales Commission Agent choose Disable, Logged in user, Select from user's list or Select from commission agent's list, then click Update Settings.
- Pick the agent on a sale. With a list mode on, a Commission Agent field appears on the sale screen. Pick the agent before you finalize.
- Check the commission. Open Reports › Sales Representative Report, choose the person and date range, and see total sale, commission and the Sales With Commission tab.
Which mode to choose
Logged in user gives commission to whoever rang up the sale, using the Sales Commission Percentage (%) on their user. Select from user's list lets the cashier pick any user. Select from commission agent's list uses the agents on this screen, who don't need a login. The percentage on a user record is used only in the first two modes.
Frequently asked questions
Do commission agents need a SeroPOS login?
No. Agents added on this screen have no login and no user licence. They only appear in the Commission Agent field on sales when Sales Commission Agent is set to Select from commission agent's list.
Where do I see how much commission someone earned?
Open Reports › Sales Representative Report and pick the person and dates. It shows total sales, sales returns, commission and expenses. Agents with the Commission agent can view their own sell permission can also see their own sales.
